ya need more practice, was just benching this just last night, went thru 30L but couldnt break 581000. I was on xp64 though, need to try 8.1 tonight. I scored 614000 with my 1080 in 8.1 so maybe it was my xp install. But my efficiency is way off for cpu speed.

damn this score is awesome, was benching 1500 core 1300 mem at 6.7ghz and couldnt get it, something wasnt right. This is a great score. I need to try again on 8.1

ya I hear ya but it's fun to try and push stuff past the limits. Going to try and disable any type of thermal monitoring to see if that helps. My card does 1100mhz 1.62v -40c and really nice memory 1400 at 2.3v I was thinking of trying to put every voltage rail on a power board but I would only know how to do memory. Because when I first did vid mod after -40c it would shutdown and vcore would go down to 0v. But this time with the epower when the card shutdown, the voltage stayed the same at 1.62v. So I was thinking even if it shutdown, if every rail had it's own power it might work. But 2.3v seems like a lot to put on a newer single output power board. A lot of the components might not be rated that high. I would love to grab a epower 1.0 for old cards. But even if the card stayed on past -40c I would probably run into cold slow, right?

why do you say that? I just tried my best with the limited knowledge I have. Not everyone can be an expert after 2+ years. Is there a mod you know I can try. or a way I can figure it out myself with multimeter. I saw some people mentioning supplying vr_enable pin with 3.3v so I figured cutting it would be similar. I needed to cut it anyway since i didnt epower memory. Please tell me if there is something you know. I have spent so much time modding.

I can't believe how easy that xp install guide is. I have been avoiding it because it looked so confusing but it's so fast and you guys addressed every possible error message and made it really easy. Just wanted to say thanks. It's a great guide.

so ya I spent so much time epowering the card, it works amazing but still shutdown at -48c. So dissapointed. I thought the shutdown had something to do with the vr_enable pin, so I cut that pin and bypassed stock ic with epower, but it didnt work. And I couldnt get the reference 9800 gtx+ bios to flash. I wish I knew enough to know what mod to do. The card does just about 1100 core at only -40c.

Hey guys, does anyone have any experience with 285 Classified. KPC is down for right now so I will make thread there also. My stupid evbot died otherwise I would use that. Does the evga voltage tuner 1.1.2.2 work ok? Does anyone know how high can go? Just wondering if I should grab classy or try some volt mods on reference. Thanks

BWE no because it was released after the start of the season. Windows 10 rules would be same as they are for regular benching. Skylake you can use win 10 for everything, other platforms depends on benchmark

This could be really cool, I remember rbuass talking about it a lot. Last game I played was Batman Arkham Knight, I think it had a pretty good one. If you already game that's cool but it will be hard to convince people to pay $60 for a benchmark. But steam sale bring games down to $5 or less sometimes so we could look for some of those. We can also keep an eye out for games that are free for the weekend on steam, that have benchmarks.

hey guys, has anyone found a way to make 1080 work on xp or is it not possible. I modded the newest xp64 drivers and the driver installs but windows acts weird and blackscreens a lot. Also 03 installs but says hardware not supported. newest gpuz wont install, only old versions.

I have the evga 1gb, vcore was easy like you said, was pretty happy I could figure that out, 2 years ago I would have no clue. But the mem mod is a bit tougher. I'm hoping mine is similar to yours. But I cant see your pics. Now I can see the pics, thanks so much, it looks like mine has same mem layout. Can you please tell me the resistance of the mem mod point, thanks sorry.

ya I had an awesome score and my os got corrupted and I couldnt open xtu to export it. That was really frustrating.

Ya I feel like it's a little different from cold slow, unless I am mixing it up. But it's not running bad or un-efficient when cold, it literally shuts off at exactly -48c, it's like cold shutdown. I think if I epower it then it will be removed by bypassing stock ic.

I picked up the evga 1gb card. The vcore mod is same as the gigabyte card. Mine has sammy mem. Having trouble with the mem mod though, not so easy to figure out. The choke for my memory is so small. If I posted a pic would someone be able to help. It looks like the same layout as the gigabyte card, I have similar ic's next to the 2r2 part but there not the uP like gigabyte. Is there a way to figure it out with a multimeter myself?
