  1. I wonder if it's easier to get high frequency in Windows 7. My chip can only do 120MHz Pifast 1/100 runs or so (usually stuck at 118 MHz). @The Stilt: I'm quite confident that the super high Vcore is only to get the high BCLK stable. I can run 117x38 at 1.5v with ~ 10c 32M stable, but had it up at 1.7V for my final runs. It's really hard to tell where the X4 845 would be if unlocked. Thanks for the info! I wonder if the training is happening properly, actually. @l0ud_sil3nc3 mentioned this already, but on my end I see no actual benefit from dialing in timings from the BIOS. In fact, apart from tCL and tRCD I see no change in performance or stability adjusting any of the other timings. Usually adjusting the timings makes things worse performance wise. I guess I'm going to pack things up for now and wait for Bristol Ridge to appear. But seriously, WTF AMD ...
  2. Can you introduce me over email or so? I'm attending the press event on Tuesday. @The Stilt: is it possible to change the DCT timings at run-time? I can execute read commands, but any write command results in 1) no change to timings and 2) about 5 seconds later a hard shutdown.
  3. @Christian Ney is in town for Computex. It's not been a week and he already took over my chair in the office ... ... guess I'll just find a corner or so ...
  4. Nice! Do you have any info on the 1.25V limitation for the GPU?
  5. Christian forwarded me some files from @Digg_de which I forwarded to the XTU guys. Do you have a file of a bugged X99 system I could forward as well?
  6. FYI, "Thanks for your feedback, We will try to reproduce and will let you know the status."
  7. Considering where we come from ... it's 50% faster than Bulldozer at 400MHz less
  8. Small update Currently sporting only a GeForce GTX 780 Ti, which is a bit on the edge for proper VR. Christian is also giving it a shot and of course we need some VR Mark loving ...
  9. 1) Memory, SSD + OS and PSU are all provided and must be used for the qualifier as well. 2) Correct - the hardware is provided as well.
  10. Was watching LTT's livestream the other day and they mentioned something about having to pay to unlock 3-way SLI? So far the highest scores on the ORB: 19298 Fire Strike http://www.3dmark.com/fs/8538247 10190 Fire Strike Extreme http://www.3dmark.com/fs/8548347 5674 Fire Strike Ultra http://www.3dmark.com/fs/8549378 No idea where the "serious" overclocking results are though. Maybe there is an NDA on those as well?
  11. For me, the vcore helps with stabilizing at high bclk mostly
  12. http://hwbot.org/submission/3153973_gorod_superpi___32m_athlon_x4_845_10min_50sec_640ms 123 MHz is not impossible. But maybe only if you boot at high bclk (like 117), which will disable the 38x ratio (CPB is actually disabled, not just throttle issue). We need some Stilt magic
  13. Yep, all is provides too. Basically freestyle = World Series rules, just not participating in the qualifier and free to run whatever benchmark. Note: we have a surprise competition coming up for those who want to really pit the new Zadak kits to the max
  14. What about your spectacular run, @l0ud_sil3nc3? You were already 5 seconds ahead of me mid-run
  15. With NB frequency at double the frequency, we'd already be seeing huge improvements in the score

    Computex 2016

  17. Try increasing the PCIe frequency to ~110 MHz. Nehalem architecture had a BCLK wall at 222 MHz and one workaround is to increase the PCIe frequency
  18. I can point any of the Australian overclockers coming to Computex in the right direction
