  2. Skylake has even more limited BCLK than Haswell. As far as I know, up to 103 MHz tops.
  3. In before someone tracks down Q0 steppings
  4. :ws: Details will be announced soon ...
  5. This is pretty interesting to follow, thanks for all the research. There's also a V1.9, but that one only includes hardware detection and online submission: http://www.superpi.net/Download/
  6. Also funny is Rauf and Gubben having the same amount of points, both Swedish and both with Team MLG Nice one lads! :celebration:
  7. The Team Cup is aimed at a wider variety of overclocking activities, which includes legacy hardware as well as sometimes odd stages like "slowest". It's a longer contest too, which allows for a wider variety The Country Cup is aimed at the more recent hardware. (fixed)
  8. For those having issues running the benchmark, can you try to do this: uninstall XTU completely install MDF 1.11 update for Win7: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=3842 install XTU version 6.2.0.8: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24075/Intel-Extreme-Tuning-Utility-Intel-XTU-
  9. Can you try the following on the ASUS and MSI board: 1) open 3dmark06 2) select cpu test 1 3) assign 1 thread to 3dmark06 via task manager 4) run cpu test for 3 seconds, then escape 5) enable all threads for 3dmark06 6) run benchmark Check the CPU score
  10. Ah, that's the one I forgot. Fixed it, you now have the points in your profile (the ranking recalculation may take a while). The reason why it was removed is because there's a bug that will make the submission page say "49.9 hardware points with Intel Core i5 3570K at 6359MHz" instead of the actual score. This is the formatting for the competition stage the score is linked to.
  11. If you have complaints about zeropluszero or want to get in touch with him, DO NOT email pieter@hwbot.org
  12. Just found this: http://pifast.hexus.net/ => goldmine for WR!
  13. Via ministry of overclocking, I could compile a list of Hexus Pifast 4.1 "world records" back in the day. 14. Okay, thanks for the feedback. We had this benchmark fail run a looong time ago too. If I remember correctly, it was related to some Windows certificates not being up to date. I'll try to get my hands on SB / SB-E rig to file a formal bug report.
  15. So, >24H is possible with 1M but not with 32M? How about 4M or 8M? Has anyone tried 32M on a 64bit OS?
  16. If it shows Engineering Sample, then it should be an Engineering Sample. Where did you get the CPU from?
  17. Vst = CPU Standby Voltage. I'm not sure what its function is, but it appear to be related to the CPU PLL (frequency generator) voltage. It would be nice to know exactly what it does though. On some motherboards, the PLL termination voltage and standby voltage are separated. That is for example the case on the Maximus VIII boards (not the Hero). I'm not sure if it has any major practical effect to dial the voltages in separately as even in the ROG guide it's written: "Now try to keep a less than 450mv delta between PLL Termination voltage and CPU Standby Voltage. When using 1.50v PLL Termination you will probably want at least around 1.20v on CPU Standby Voltage. Easiest would be to synchronize these 2 rails."
  18. OCN is serious about this one
  19. :ws: That's life, really. Complaining gets you nowhere
  20. Hey guys, Just a quick message to let you know we're curating the /r/hwbotnews/ subreddit with the latest hwbot news. If you prefer following hwbot stuff via Reddit, feel free to subscribe over there
  21. I volunteer for benching in the test cup. As long as it's not against the unbeatable @nickolp1974
  22. @saint19, first need to finalize the competition plan It's funny. I think the "FB x 20"-mod is the easiest way to start vmodding, but for new people it's not common knowledge. Maybe because the controllers have become a lot more complicated than back in the day.
  23. Might want to check with @Trouffman or @Xyala
  24. So when can I start checking with vendors if they want to put up some swag?
