If there is room in your truck for me take a look at the route you'de be taking. Pretty sure Milwaukee is out of the way but I could drive to meet up somewhere that isn't as long as its got long term parking or something, like an airport. No worries if you're full already. I would be down to stay wherever, hostel, hotel etc. And obviously willing to pay my share for fuel and room & board. Just trying to figure out if I should be getting a passport since I don't already have one 1. Who is going? GtiJason, Interested depending on transportation and total cost 2. World Tour or freestyle only? Tour most likely but still open on this 3. Who can assist for the OC Workshop? Sure. 4. Transport mode ? Bringing Dewar? Still looking, have a good 20L Dewar 5. Are you ready to share place / room for sleeping? Share hotel room, airbnb or hostel

What's on the die, looks black or is it "sanded" and light not reflecting off it -
Stable Win 7 64 bit but not XP 32 bit, So strange beginning to think B die is an evil prank and there is someone out there who controls it's behavior simply to bunny with us. Well played Samsung but just know I'm patiently waiting for you to break, make that first mistake and it's over.

My bad, I've been looking everywhere for them and found nothing. Usually you find some article in Taiwanese or something but I've had no luck
-
The D0 = 67 is the initial rtl timing when using two dimms, really no need to mess with these though I believe you can on Asrock OCF. Im sure Bullant will chime in with a clearer, more definitive answer eventually. He is the RTL/IOL master
-
Like these sticks ? Looks like B Die to me Yep, sure are....... and yes I NEED a two dimmer bad. B die is a headache to say the least
-
Maybe someone can explain this to me, since this thread is all about psc mems on OCF and we use super pi 32m to compare results on efficiency. Is it correct in saying you can take the seconds it takes to complete 32m and multiply them with cpu frequency to get a so called efficiency rating. Lets take my above run for example. It took 9m 13s 484ms or 553.484 seconds and multiply that by 3200mhz you get If you take the fastest 5g time (Bullants time obv.) of 5min 56sec 328ms and multiply that by speed of cpu or 5001.8MHz you get Which led me to trying to figure out if my timings/run was any good, so I took my final number and divided it by 5000(mhz) and ended up with That would be 5m 54s 230ms or almost exactly 2 seconds faster than the most efficient 5g time, so there must be a variable I'm missing because I doubt my run done with ice cold AIR at 2666c8 stands a chance against a run with ln2 on mems at 2750c6. So obviously the scaling isn't linear, but is there a better method of dissecting efficiency ?

Playing around on my OCF with a couple new to me 3258's and two slices of "Pi". Water/Air cooled with my window open while it's snowing. This is about as tight as these will go and still be stable, I've run tRFC lower but not in this combination so maybe a couple ticks left there but otherwise that's it. Standard timings at 1.83v and locked down timings at 1.85v Really thought I was running the speeds below, but sometimes the board boots this way and I have to use Rapid OC just one click up or down, any clock or voltage works. (So like Alt+2 then Alt+A, adds 1 to cpu multi) Never had this one before, The Pi god's obviously weren't happy though

I like this idea, I think Milwaukee is probably a couple hours out of the way though. Flights are expensive out of here and not looking to drive 2+ hours to O Hare in the Chi

I don't think they are going to change, like you said the comp started almost a week ago. I just think they need to think about what they are doing a bit more, to me it seems like this was thrown together last second simply to make the deadline. I don't think they should change it right now as rule changes shouldn't be made during an active event

This is exactly why I agree with SI's idea of having 4 Intel stages, I would bet big money that the winner is someone who has an 8 core and 4 core i7. So it's as much about spending money as it is skill because anyone with only K sku cpu's has zero chance of winning, and this is a well known fact. Div. 1 is not for Pro or Elite only and for the average serious overclocker finding a good clocking K sku i7 with a strong imc is already daunting enough, and now we gotta go spend $1500+ to even be in the conversation. Another thing as well is last year you could compete without having to buy a $700 gpu especially in Div. 2 & 3, now you have to buy a 980ti to win the Pentium/i3 or core i5 classes. Not a good way to attract newcomers, I thought that was a big part of this years mission or is that only for the World Tour?

Just get one of those tiny disposable tin bread pan, shape it to wrap memory heatspreader while in slots, line with aluminum foil just in case and fill with dice. Pump that vdimm to 2.15-2.2v and 2666c7 should be possible. I have one or two left just in case but -60ish and 2.15v shouldn't be a problem

Wowza, I need about 1.8v on my rippers and 1.715v on TridentZ. "Woo! Loving Skylake for the most part so far, I really like the OCF." Give it a few weeks tweaking B die and this may change -

There you go Frito D, now rerun a couple thousand times for 742 -
Uh yeah, what he said!

That's crazy man, B die is a strange creature. Doug and myself got our highest 1T frequency's the first time trying them. I think my 3600c16 kit booted Win 10 at 3980c12 1T it's been as bad as unable to boot 3733 for me. I haven't fired up the 170 in a week or so. Been busy playing with some fantastic imc es 3258's that allow me to run lower vdimm, sa volts and io's than any of the 10ish retail HW/DC cpu's i have owned and will run 5g on h20. Still wish z97 ln2 board was even half as easy as AsRock to work with. Seriously a poo ton of work even with saved profiles epecially cold

Yep, usually around ½ second slower than 1T, but I don't look at it that way. I see still 4 seconds faster than E Die

Awesome, love the effort man. So you only had i3 for like 48 hours now huh ! -
Killer efficiency Keika !
