    The Rage

    Nice thread LOL Usually I keep calm during benching no matter how bad the sessions were, but I remember this one time i lose my cool and was REALLY mad at one mobo(don't ask which one ) for killing my good chip..... So i literally THROW it from my 2nd floor office building :D (that said, the mobo was already dead before i threw it). Felt good when i did it, but regret it later knowing i could still change its mosfets and make it back alive again
  3. My UTMOST respect for ALL the contestants of the EMEA Qualifier, you guys PUSHED really hard !!! Congrats to the top 5 who qualified, hopefully I can see you guys in MOA WW Final
  4. Less than 1 hour to go now....c'mon show us the backup scores :D
  5. Holy sh**!! Looking at the result you guys made all this time, I'am REALLY thankful that I wasn't competing in the EMEA region :D
  6. Then why the hell did I agree to go back on the 9th... (T_T) *quietly weep*
  7. Aw daym, I didn't get to meet her! Is this on the last day(9/6) ?
  8. @ Pieter : Is it possible to claim the prize at the Computex GSkill booth? ** LOL kidding **
  9. Niiiiice one Cal-san, It's Super Effective..err, Super Efficient!! d()b
  10. Holy sh** the prize is quite a lot , there's 3 stage, every stage got 3 winner (9 total) +lucky draw x3 + 1 for WR, + 1 for overall winner = 14 kits of RAM Nice one :D
  11. Maybe Intel doesn't expect their Ivy Bridge can clock THAT well under cold?
  12. Question : Will the benchmark and hardware limitation be the same across all qualifier? Thanks
  13. Niiiiice, Looking forward for that 'anti-sandbagger algorithm' to be implemented
  14. Instead of posting whether I was against or not against it, allow me to point out my concerns regarding this Virtu MvP : - A benchmark have certain sets of data/frame to be rendered. By my understanding, the benchmark can be considered valid if only those certain sets of data is not reduced in any way. * yes, I wasn't agree with disabling tesselation in 3DMark11 benchmark :p* I don't know how exactly this Virtu MvP was implemented, but if the algorithm somewhat 'reduced' the benchmark data/frame, then the result obtained using Virtu MvP can be considered invalid. But then again, if the increased frame-rate is caused by the IGP somehow 'helping' to render the frame, and the benchmark data was NOT reduced, I can agree with this. Just my 2 cents
  15. It's done at last :D Congrats to the winner Poland :celebration:, the runner-up Greece :celebration: and all other countries who have participated , you all did very well :ws: @ leeghoofd : We got lucky at the PCMark 7 stage : figured out the Virtu tweak by coincidence(my friend MaVeRCK tried to run PCM7 at his h67 igp setup and the video transcode boosted up fiercely), The point is, use Z68 system with Virtu custom profile for 2 executive file in transcoding test. (MFPlayback and something with XCode, i don't remember clearly) And the other tweak was : - RAM Caching using FancyCache software : I Guess the Canadians figured this out very early in the game. Using this software, even single SSD setup can get very high storage setup. - Using Win8 + Core Parking Disable : boosted up transcode , we learn this from the Greeks - IE Appearance tweaks : small font, no show pics/animation/sound, etc. Boosted up quite a bit. (Dunno what Team Greece done with their early setup with 90p/s, which gave me headache for 48 hours++ x.x ) - Force the Imaging executive file (WIC.exe ?) to be run under 640x480 res and force 256 Color, got a small gain in Image Manipulation. I think that's all for our tweaks * at least we didn't waste 3 days++ for nothing * Happy New Year Everyone ! :celebration:
