  1. @Jarnis: Nice! Waiting for the downloads Anyway I want to ask about this : Any explanation why the GPU memory usage goes up when doing multi-GPU? (isn't it supposed to be 'lower' since the GPUs are 'sharing' their rendering task? I have very little understanding about this) Thx
  2. Noooooooo you two should participate in EMEA Class A :D Have mercy on us Asians in Class B :p
  3. Karting? Hmmm nice Maybe next year do a Hwbot-Karting meet? :D
  4. Then, in case of same points, what method will be used to determine the winner? Thanks,
  5. Kudos for Xtreme Addict who managed almost a 13k Cloud Gate GPU Score on Trinity, really nice result !! :) See you guys in another competitions
  6. Wow...kapton flexible heaters? Those remind me of the old vapochill days How many watts does those heaters pull? Will it cope up well in, say, -150C range ? Just Brilliant
  7. EPIC mod mate!! I wonder how many years it will take me to have the skills to do that..
  8. IMHO, the 'No Girlfriends Rule' was not made with bad intention at all man We know what you're capable of doing on your own, but as Xtreme Addict pointed out : This event is reserved for overclockers, as appreciation for what they've done, and as reward for their passion. If you're bringing a real Girl overclocker, who have 100% intention of being there and compete against other fellow overclockers, I'm sure everybody won't mind Cheers,
  9. Ahahahahah LOL :D Good Luck for the events and those who will be participating, hopefully next year ASUS can make this worldwide
  10. A Hwbot-made souvenir for the trip which you can use for paying 7/11, very thoughtful :D
  11. Oh man I hope they have qualifier for APAC, I've never been to an ASUS Live competition before :)
  12. Yay! Free food :D Ok I'm going
  13. EPIC mod and AWESOME scores man  Wish that someday I could find the courage to do that kind of mod in a 1000 USD++ GPU Keep Pushing it ! :ws:
  14. So I take it the theme is "No Limits" now? :D
  15. IMHO, budget-wise, a Supermicro H8Q-series and 4x Opteron 6300-series is the setup that's quite nice for the Cinebench stage , the problem is usually those 4P server board config doesn't usually come with much OC headroom.. Would be awesome if there's someone on the cup who's using Xeon E7-8870 multi-cpu setup :p
  16. Been having some talk with the vendors i know, and it turned out that getting sponsorship for this kind of cup is not easy if you've never been in the spotlight before (e.g breaking a WR, winning competition, having relatively high-ranked in your country, etc) - totally understandable though. Going to be a bit hard doing this with on my own, but l see some people also use their own hard-earned money to do overclocking, especially Rbuass, which is quite inspirational considering how expensive OC gear/hardwares in Brazil compared to other region, so let's just see how pro OC Cup turned out to be - should be fun since some big names was already in the cup :D (well, at least my office agree to pay the electricity and ln2 bill - still better than nothing ) Cheers,
  17. @ FM_Jarnis : The Fire Strike Combined test(the fight scene) looks soooo damn cool !!! I hoped it would be a bit longer though :D That said, the tests were shorter ,but it feels 'heavier' than 3dmark11. My 7970 can pass 3d11 on 1300mhz core easy, but fail to do the same on 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme. Also, I found that the 3DMark Ice Storm benchmark is quite okay for benching some low-end netbook/notebook and windows-based tablet and the like, its definitely better than have to use the old '05 and '06. Kudos to Futuremark Team, 3DMark really is your best benchmark until now (a minor note, no offense, but as for the demos , I still prefer the old 3DMark99/2000/2001SE demo, can't beat that awesome soundtrack :p)
  18. Board dead now, fortunately the cpu is still alive....Still can't figure out why my vantage gpu score is so low though.. Was actually wishing to spend some more time to play with the board , but I had my share of APU fun so it's OK :D Congrats for the winners, really tight competition and a lot of crazy score ! Respect :ws: Also thanks to Nick Shih for the BIOS , really helpful See ya around guys
  19. According to a trusty source , If things have not been changed much since the last build, it should be a clear win for 7970 :D But we'll see how the final version performs when it is released on the 4th
  20. Cool !!! Can't wait to see the final version
