Yes, if you cannot show by validating the saved file and do a screenshot showing valid or proviide a link that shows valid result there is no chance the result gets ranked. Can only block it then, no other option, the result has to be approved by the fm online check and shown to be valid

The classic way is to save the validation file and then submit it for a check. As far as I can say this works and so it does not require an active internet connection during the benchmark

Validation link is not mandatory for non global top 20 - this is why the online validation is progress, it can be shown at result without needing a link. Sorry to hear that you lost the results completely, this is hard when you have no chance to rebench

Lol, I even blocked some fs results at division 5 because I mistook them for time spy - I re enabled the results apart from one which was win 10 and time measurement error, so I fiixed this again^^ - sorry for the inconvenience

The first sentence at the rules at the moment is that the result must be valid by 3Dmark regulations, the benchmark itself states a warning after the run if the benchmark is not validated, it also shows invalid clearly if settings are not approved. http://forum.hwbot.org/showthread.php?t=159335 Here is the announcement of time spy at hwbot, which also clearly states, without leaving any question unanswered, that the result must be validated at the 3DMark website. We cannot make the rules for one benchmark 5 pages long (exaggerated example for that we might have to write a book to rule out all not allowed options^^), even at an update we can only include LOD or Tessleation as an example because there are more options to influence benchmarks. P.S. I appreciate the feedback, not to get me wrong here, we decided to use it at challenger divisions so that we and community learn about it. Good competition, but no money onvolved, ideal start. People already called for points a couple of weeks ago, we left it at beta without points, reason is to wait for the feedback. There is no change at all to the rules - time spy was clearly announced from the start to be validated by Futuremark, the current rules are unchanged from the first introduction of time spy. There was even a big discussion about this here at forums. People simply did not read the rules correctly, nothing changed for time spy. For all older FM benchmarks, Hwbot keeps the rules the way they were. Time spy is brand new, planned to be bulletproof for all platforms with 8 and 10 for example by validation and also cheat-proof. Time moves on, we have to make things more simple especially with rtc bug, vendors start to skip win7 support already (skylake) and we cannot live in the past when new benchmarks come

The rules will get an update next days, but the fact is well known that FM strongly disapproves on the use of LOD, they also excluded all results from HOF with this used, other than hwbot. The phrase Result must be Valid by 3DMark regulations stated at the rules already is quite clear, nontheless I agree that we should name LOD explicitly at the update now. Rules have to be kept generalized, but on a important point like this we might include it as example

I made a raw precheck which cost me several hours of my life... I blocked an estimated 60-100 results and will not check again before the end of the competition, I did not even check 100% of all results so please xheck the lower results yourself at some divisions.

In fact Futuremark sponsors 3d marks for a lot of guys by giving out free keys on hwbot ^^ - I don´t think that the whole bunch of people who disagree with the use of LOD changing here at hwbot are all sponsored by FM btw, we cannot always ignore the concerns and arguments of this group

Time spy is synchronized with FM and HOF, the rules are online from the start and will get an update but the general points are clear already. We had long discussions about LOD at older 3Ds because a lot of guys disapprove the use, but on these we have our own rules at hwbot verification which will stay, but for time spy, because it is a new benchmark, the rules are same for HOF and for hwbot

This is a heads up for all participants at the Time spy stages of all challenger divisions. Please note that LOD is not allowed and that according to the time spy rules by Hwbot and Futuremark only results with verification links or screenshot which show result as "valid" will be accepted. Please check the rules again and re bench if needed, I have no choice but to remove/block all results without link or link shown as not valid by any reason after the competition

So we refund everyone including people who won a couple of thousand euros as prize or hardware much more worth than what they paid as entry and ask them to return what they won with given reason it is your bad you were that good that you won and we need to refund people who did not as good as you? You really know how to make friends - good luck at explaining this to the guys^^ If the fee is not enough, do we charge participants with extra 100 euros each to cover cost according to your logic?^^ In the unlikely case there will be an euro left it will go to hwbot causes and not to make anyone at hwbot get a bonus^^ ---- There are a lots of sports events you have to pay an entry fee to join, marathons, poker tournaments, even at some football tournaments and many other at least in germany, this is used when entrance for spectators is free and sponsoring doesn´t cover expected costs. I f you think the competition and prices is not worth the entrance, no need to participate. No one is charged any fee for joining hwbot, no one is charged a fee for using hwbot and no one is charged for services as well. This is a competition that is eligible but not mandatory. I abolutely accept that you do not like the entrance fee, if hwbot would have found another way to cover the cost, I would have preferred this as well. On selling the 6950 to cover cost, do you ask MSI for hardware you do not use with the argumentation you will not give them anything back (publicity by future results, mentioning, etc) but will sell it to cover your cost for LN2 and your valuable time? I don´t think they would appreciate this much, and if sponsors would have wanted to support the cause financially only, they would have sent a cheque and not hardware This is my personal opinion on this, no need to agree for you because I also see some point at your views, I just think that there are always two angles to see things, maybe it shows a different perspective P.S. Alex, we cannot give free entrance, then we would have to make a general ticket in my opinion that makes you eligible for all tour events of one season in the future at a much higher price. If this is wanted it might be worth discussing it, like a one event ticket only and a general "one year ticket" for people who plan to visit all or at least several events. I am not sure this would make sense though, but I am open to propoals like we all are at hwbot if there is demand. On the exclusion of stage winners, this might have been an option, it was decided differently. Might change in the future, this is first event for a wild card at world tour, we all need to learn from experience and feedback

Try a clear cmos on the msi system. Maybe board or cpu are defective, but first try to recover standard fail safe settings by clear cmos, if this doesn´t help check socket and cpu for physical damage and maybe test your cpu at a second board to see if it causes the problem, you can also check the cpu from asus system at the msi board to see if board causes the problem. P.S. You can also check SSDs and interchange these (use ssd from asus on the msi system for check), if in the BIOS of the MSI system are still 6/12 shown, you might have a damaged OS

Bonus points - ranking is messed up and final recalculation will be done after stages closed, but bonus points for ranking are added partially now, they get added to stage 1 preliminarily

ROG is better, but I will not block valid results because of optics

You might be happy with this when 1080ti comes and rips Titan apart hopefully at lower price
