  1. I think it will be enough time, the old school 3 will for sure not start before october, maybe later - so you have at least 4-5 weeks to get all you need to organize it
  2. After season 1 and 2 of the Old school is best school series were a full success Hwbot plans to make a third season to once again give retro hardware lovers and tweakers the chance to compete at highest level. Because of this we search a competition manager for this task. After Antinomy and Lanbonden did tremendous jobs at designing the structure and stages of season 1 and 2, we now want you to do the job for season 3 These are the main tasks for old school is best school season 3 - come up with a theme (for artwork) - come up with competition structure - come up with competition stages It does not have to be all done by one person alone necessarily. If there is structure people agree on or competition manager determines, prominent old-school participants of first two seasons might plan different competition stages to enter their know how and experience for example. Feedback is welcome, volunteers of course as well - preferably we would want the Old school is best school participants to manage this in a way they enjoy the third season as much as possible
  3. Pre check done, I will not ban results because of missing spd tab btw, we have a contradiction there at rules, that´s main reason, and we also did not rule out any memory sticks like we planned initially P.S. would have been only one result at a non top spot anyway for extreme, but I handle this same way for ambient competition, which would have been hit harder
  4. I checked the top results at extreme and ambient, and found a contradiction at rules btw, because of this a clarification. Some people do not have the spd tab that is mentioned at rules, but I will not remove results because of this Reason is that we do not need it because we do not rule out any memory sticks and the difference at extreme and ambient rules which made this confusing for some benchers it seems - you need cpu, mainboard and memory tab at CPUZ, that´s enough for me P.S. I handle this same way for extreme competition, so this is valid for both divisions of msi 2d battle
  5. I made a very short boot test on the 6320, but this gets too hot, at 1,4v I already have 69° idle in Bios. 1,5v did boot 5ghz but hung after Post. I dont use chilled watercooling or delid cpus^^
  6. A heads up before benching, there seem to be a few things missing at the rules, so I make a preliminary announcement here: 1. For XTU, minimum temperature is 60 degrees Celsius or higher - this refers to the maximum load temp at result because you do not need a screenshot 2. Server hardware not allowed - means no xeons or opterons for obvious reasons 3. Stage 2, GPUPI, will most likely get a core limit which refers to "cores enabled" because there is no core division possible. it will most likely be "maximum 6 Threads enabled"
  7. Morning The temperature rule refers to minimum values, hwmonitor needs to be opened before the run starts. We have no problems with the Zadak memory, so you can start to bench
  8. Not tested, not benched apart from what I wrote above. Maybe I find the time to put it into the MOCF, but on air cooling this will be very hard task
  9. I found time to make a very raw pre check on top 10 of each stage, had to remove two results but looked OK apart from this (one missing background, one hidden settings at 01) - good luck for the finish, please check yourself once more before end to be sure^^
  10. The head of moderation already is informed about this. No idea why this happened, let´s hope we don´t shrink There was a rule once iirc that only people can contribute to team cup who were members at start, so maybe it has something to do with this
  11. Morning, up for sale are two 1151 cpus and 2 4000+ 12-11-11-28 waza capable B-die kits, all items are retail and therefore should have intact warranty 1. Intel Core i7 6700K boxed wof My last 6700k, retail, non delidded or lapped, batch L603F337. The cpu needed 1,15v for final test of 45 minutes prime 1344K at 4,5ghz core and 4,2ghz cache on my MOCF on air cooling. Iirc I tested the cpu initially on my old Hero for 5Ghz Hwbotprime at 1,37v, for 4,8ghz CB15 I needed ~1,28v on MOCF. Best out of around 15 pieces I had in myopinion. In box, full warranty with Intel. 2. Intel Corei3 6320 boxed Retail, Batch L533, non delidded or lapped, the cpu does quite good imho, 1,23v CB15 for 4,5ghz, 4,5ghz 32m at memory 4Kc12 worked easily. Like the 6700K never benched, apart from a 742 experiment which worked without much force. In box with fan, full warranty 3+4. 2x8GB G.Skill RipjawsV 3600C17-18-18-38 1,35v Very good kits, best retails I binned last months, waza-capable (completely reliable at tests) of 4000 12-11-11-28 at 1,83v (BIOS) on MOCF and 1,89v on Impact, max 0.01v difference but this depends on temps and margin of error, kits are like twins. I also tested both for 4133 c12 xtu and geekbench, CB and some leagy 3ds and this worked but needs strong imc and much sa and io, the mems did it at 1,96-1,98v depending on benchmark. Retail, in original blister with sticker Prices (Euro, shipping excluded) 1. 420 Euros 2. 150 Euros 3. sold 4. sold Payment is possible with paypal (gift or buyer covers fees) or western union. The items are located in germany, shipping will be 12-18 Euros approximately in eu Disclaimer: I am no shop-owner, so I rule out warranty and returns. The items offered work flawless and are not changed physically, so manufacturer warranty is valid -unless you change this, and then it is non of my business anymore
  12. I think we will not change anything apart from new stuff that was released, the i3 pattern stays this way, maybe vga like rx470 for example will be eligible for use then
  13. Luck can be a factor, this is why I ask Pepi. The problem is the combination of board used, mem frequency and uncore is extremely unlikely to hit such a score. The TE is a 4 dimm T topology board which, like other boards of same topology, have a lot less efficiency at same settings normally at xtu than 2 dimm slot boards or daisy chain topology boards. There is a very interesting article related to this memory topolgy topic by Xtreme addict. In fact, on Asus 4 dimm boards or MSI you get a well known disadvantage against asrock or 2 dimm boards at xtu for example, this is well known for times now for Z170. OC eSports This is no random harassment, when I say result is normally too good to be true, I am not estimating but see facts. I hope you are not angry, the result was reported and I saw the disadvantage of T-boards myself several times, who normally need 4 dimms to match daisy chain boards or two dimmers, and even then have problems
  14. We will check with MSI and decide at difficult cases @Bruno your score is very close to being unrealistic at given settings, this doesn´t mean I will block it, but I am not sure MSI will accept it, if I had had more time and energy last weeks I would have already asked Pepinorang what he wants to decide on this. Best I can give as advice is that you have a second run to submit before comps end, just in case, don´t want you to get in trouble if you don´t have a backup result
  15. I will sell my last (and best) 6700k and also my best binned B-die 3600s these days, I think it depends on what you expect as buyer and why seller makes the sale. On binned stuff you do not always get best ever stuff at current gen, but often people sell because they do not use items for benching anymore or want money or whatever. I resumed memory binning a while ago after I sold my best kits before also to test new board (MOCF) only to find I do not make decent use of them anyway, so why keep 1,83v 4K 12-11 waza mems when all I do is test software at 3200 c15?^^
  16. Please rebench, we will both feel better. If someone reports the score moderator would have no choice but to block it
  17. @scorpion2 I just blocked another score, please check the leaderboards at your category to see what makes sense as score for xtu and what doesn´t, this run is bugged and will be blocked
  18. This is a good idea and makes sense, we already discussed if especially for contest and promo benches with judges the judge can make a comment or leave a note at the result when he submits that this was live checked and approved to be correct score, with win10 or 8 at some hardware this would make things a lot more clear also at checks later for reports
  19. Broadwell E is still hit by rtc windows bug, only skylake architecture is free for win8 and 10
  20. No restriction on memory, cpu retail only, that´s what we decided because we cannot determine most es mems anyway and b die is retail IC
  21. Ice bucket not allowed, no difference to chiller P.S. Will be hard to determine what was used anyway, but we will check temps also with common sense
  22. No, there is still the package temperature shown, this should do the job
