  1. just waiting for some last details and then it is Computex time this year finally My sister will join me at this trip...told her the appartment is for free (mainly to make sure I don't need to share a double bed with either Roman or massman ) and booked the flights - teaching her how to handle LN2 now
  2. My 15 minutes of fame...first out of the first 100 submissions
  3. Just came over this old one with a new interpretation: Obama gives press conference about his 7 GHZ 3770K...
  4. And there goes another point on the bill - where to get my press pass? @Roman any news about you joining? stummerwinter said he will not come
  5. Oh dear the "ugly mug gallery" will be looooong this year Log-Entry #1 "Fear & Loathing in Taipeh" @AF ...and one evening goes on Roman's bill - yeah I'm gonna have a cheap trip
  6. I might regret that but count me in for the time! Can't leave thoose Belgium guys "lost alone in Taipeh"... "Fear and Loathing in Taiwan"...wonder if that will make a good story
  7. checked flights yesterday and it was like 625€ so quite ok atm but yeah there is no time to loose...need to check holiday schedule and passport / visa things...
  8. Really a looooong journey but I consider doing it this year finally...
  9. Nom, nom, nom - benching... Seriously Roman testing his new pot
  10. or the "why in hell the AY MVE has CB @-120°C"...face
  11. after seeing it on the 2nd RoG Camp I must say - wooozaaa what a nice piece It literally "eats" some previous coolers in size and cooling-capacity
  12. Last weekend there was the 2nd RoG Camp powered by ASUS & PCGH joined by some AwardFabrik-guys like stummerwinter, SoF, fuzz3l and @rne in Berlin. Xtreme, Water and Air-Cooling Overclockers came together and took a look at new hardware such as Ares II and overlocking-related topics. This time "stummerwinter" and "SoF" guided through the extreme part of the event with some systems based on Intel's 3770K and Maximus V Extreme motherboards. Stummerwinter explained how to prepare a board properly with practical hints and tips. Both - Boris and Chris - took off the heatpipe and used art eraser all over the i/o, socket and VRM area to avoid any damage during the LN2-cooled runs. Stummerwinter showed 6850+ in 1m with a new CPU binned during that event while SoF tried to push some 3x GPU scores with GTX 580 Matrix on his good old week 18 c055 chips running 6500+ MHZ 3D easy all the day. All in all it was a nice day with some really good chats - thanks ASUS & PCGH! report @AwardFabrik report @PCGHX
  13. how you will handle the switch, creating teams and so? as I currently see only 25% of the currently considered people directly joining the new way, how you handle all the others? put them back into XOC, deleting their ES scores or let them "unranked" until proper way of new challenge is approved for new guys? btw: Talked to Crazzzy85 during the week-end who also is considering going back to XOC as it seems. had a nice chat, was a good "competition" with him in the "old pro league" without any timeframe...
  14. There is always somebody to party a good score with you - or is it?
  15. Yes I agree - removing the Pro-League completely would suck big time. Personally because I am tired of thoose silly new ideas on any new revision. I mean the Pro-league was just introduced, we all tried to keep up - no matter if you are fighting to stay within' TOP30 or TOP10. Having his 15 best global scores ranked was just fine for me... Exactly this "replacing" is the main issue - you will erase something you have just introduced with rev 4. If you add the "Pro-competitions" to the existing league and just put the league in the "backround" it would be all fine. I will not be in any fixed timeframe competitions, neither am I buying things only for a single competition. The way it is currently planned does not attract me at all.
  16. One of the details you need to take care - my solution is some art eraser Always wondered if the bases are "tight sealed" so it is an interesting read.
  17. yeah as usual and there is some benching this week-end...good it is "only" 3D so validation is not needed but still another of those pita cpuz updates...
  18. cebit seems to have lost a lot reputation and influence the last 3-4 years better save money for a trip to computex these days
