Xtreme Addict Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Great rules to be honest. Something for AC/WC enthusiasts (XTU stage), lucky draws, something for LN2 clockers, nice stages, great prices, cheap cpus! Good job Quote
t8y Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 (edited) sold my z97-SOC and just use my z87x-oc for 1150 (x08mod2 fine for g3258)...  doh   edit: point of post being, any chance of a rule change on that front...? Edited August 18, 2014 by t8y Quote
Christian Ney Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 (edited) It would be cool to be able to compete with a Z87X-OC since you can win a Z97 board at the end. Edited August 18, 2014 by Christian Ney Quote

QuantumX Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Where can the X BIOS be found that supports Pentium G3258? Retail F6 only goes up to 2.1v for RAM Quote
sofos1990 Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/18296979/Z97XSOCF_X06.zip  This is F7a with unlocked voltages. Quote
topdog Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Is there an X bios for the standard Z97X-SOC motherboard (non force) ? Quote
t8y Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Hey, just double-checked and this competition is Z97 only.  no worries. thanks for checking still, shame, hoped we'd all moved past the "Use X chipset mobo to win sameX chipset mobo" type rulesets.  though there is also actual cash on offer, which is awesome.  guess in hindsight i should have actually tried to win the z97soc-ln2 that OCAU is offering up or just not sold my other z97 so soon  too cash strapped to hang onto too much "doubled up" gear atm sadly Quote
sofos1990 Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 (edited) Is there an X bios for the standard Z97X-SOC motherboard (non force) ? Â Based on F5. Â https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/18296979/Z97XSOC_X01a.zip Edited August 23, 2014 by sofos1990 Quote

steponz Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Can we also say that ln2 on memory is not allowed in stage 1. Quote
Mikecdm Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Can we also say that ln2 on memory is not allowed in stage 1. Â Well, stage 1 is for enthusiast, novice, and rookie. They'd be extreme if they decide to use Ln2. Quote
saint19 Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Topdog will participate?....this is gone be interesting... Â Good luck to all of you guys... Quote
Icke&Er Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Why the Z97x-SOC Force LN2 ist not allowed at this competition? It is not a kind of ES-Hardware and benchable for air/water/... Are there any reasons i have missed? Â MFG Quote
skulstation Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 (edited) it's almost imposibel to find it on saile for the moment, and ther whil be other thinks to not alow it Edited August 24, 2014 by skulstation Quote
Massman Posted August 25, 2014 Author Posted August 25, 2014 Yup, it's hardly available in retail and gives too much an advantage in memory clocking. Quote
