There's no dedicated laptop competition. This is a competition to find the top extreme overclockers who will eventually defend their country in the live final

Just wanted to say, good job MSI for having a qualifier in the States.. None of this invite only garbage......

cant get mem stable over 1750 cas 7 3500mhz no matter the vtt and vdim I throw at it. Going to try 1.4beta6

What happens if one person gets top 2 of more than one stage? Will there be less than 10 teams in that case? If not, which stage will have the top 3 qualified? (priority order)

any answer to this?

^you got it

xpower its a 1.1 version :D

I think I still have one of those boards lying around. Let me know if I need to power it on and help you figure stuff out.

any answer to this?

Sorry, yeah!

Priority list:

1 - Stage 4: NV400 Vantage

2 - Stage 5: X58 SuperPI 32M

3 - Stage 3: Radeon HD 5000 Series Vantage

4 - Stage 2: LGA1156 3DMark01

5 - Stage 1: H55 / H57 IGP Vantage

This means, if you win both stage 5 and stage 2, the overclockers ranked 2nd and 3rd in stage 2 will get their ticket to MOA.

oh very cool man that sounds good :D

1800 required sub timings all to be set to max values :( but it passed, 1.375vcore 1.35vtt 1.74vdimm and 2:10 x20 (5/10)

here are current settings that fail 32m at 7th line every time

ATDu5.jpg

Tryed hammering volts to it 1.4vcore 1.4vtt 1.775vdimm and it causes crash at 2nd line which is worse than before.

Anything stand out? I know the ram can do it, does 1033 7-7-6-19 no problem on r3e.Thanks!

Those are Elpide hyper, right?

Booting up now ... bios isn't saving anything at the moment. Maybe it's not a good idea to use MOA comp boards :D

Got it working alright now.

Running 195x19 2:10 CL7-7-7-21 with x20 UNC as we speak. I'll flash to that 1.4B6 bios in a few minutes ... I'm using the 1.0B31 btw.

Yes, I'll upload the screenshots shortly.

Try the following:

1) clear cmos

2) boot at 180BCLK, 2:10 CL7-7-7-21, CPU x19, UNC x20

2) reboot, go in bios and increase to 195BCLK

3) reboot, go in bios and increase to 200BCLK

Then try if it runs 32M.

leave the secondary subtimings on stock settings?

will do when I get home thanks for checking!

did you disable the epu and green power stuff? mabye thats my issue i did

Edited by Splave

Yes, disabled all that power-saving (lol! who needs that) stuff.

Don't think that could be the issue, though.

which bios was that Mass?

I have a picture I have to find of the timings I used.... Ill see if I can upload...

I tryed booting at 190 at those settings and it freezs on windows load screen :( tryed my other 980x too same thing. I will keep trying though and if I figure it out will post up the answer :D
