Splave Posted November 19, 2010 Share Posted November 19, 2010 When I first put my hypers in board would not post.....install 1 stick closest to cpu black slot post board, install next stick in black slot and post board, if that is sucessfull do it one more time with 3rd stick........ Boot 190 to 195 bclk..........then up it from there with dashboard.......  You have to go full manual timings and unlinked if your chasing speeds i'm running at, and when I say full manual not just setting to manual I mean running memtest and playing with each timing  Last but not least do not gorilla balls tighten heatsink down, you should be able to spin it with ease. I actually loosened my waterblock up while in bios trying to figure shit out and it locked.......then i played around with that and sure enough i could piss the board off if it wasn't just barely secured.  Yah I noticed that awsome .60 droop as well............I might add board requires some patience for damn sure, lucky me i had plenty of training with 2 kids.  I'll give that a shot tonight  Planet, end time is the before the 21st not sure what Time zone.   So this is the way it works right  1 - Stage 4: NV400 Vantage 2 - Stage 5: X58 SuperPI 32M 3 - Stage 3: Radeon HD 5000 Series Vantage 4 - Stage 2: LGA1156 3DMark01 5 - Stage 1: H55 / H57 IGP Vantage  Say you get 2nd place in stage 5 and 1st in stage 2. Was using the H55N-USB3 as I didn't trust the H55-GD65 to not suck and turns out my fears were well founded. Damn H55-GD65 won't even come close to what the H55N-USB3 was doing through Vantage. But this is a Extreme Overcocking Competition and we can t forget MSI is the only brand did a non extreme stage competition to MOA 2010. Â I am actually using my cascade at around -40 Celsius for the H55/655k combo I'm running for Stage 1. I leave for a family vacation tomorrow but I'm considering bringing my 25L dewar along with the H55 rig to bench in the hotel room if I make good progress tonight. Would be nice to have a countdown so I can obsess over it during the day.  Maybe I can overclock at the beach  edit: screw it, just put a timer on my phone.
