Marquzz
Is Slot 1 to Socket 370 adapter ok?
Rasparthe
I think Stage 1 is limited to Slot 1 processors, making the adapter illegal since you would be using a Socket 370 processor. Stage 2 you could use it, only limited to Pentium 3 processors. My question is about Stage 2 though, are only x800 graphics cards allowed or all x8xx cards allowed (x850, etc)? Mr.Scott
I think Stage 1 is limited to Slot 1 processors, making the adapter illegal since you would be using a Socket 370 processor. Since stage 1 is reference clock, I don't think it matters if you use a slocket, since it's mostly about the board.
fgi
I can't submit in stage1 with my board. Add "Zida BXi-98" please.
Gumanoid
Can we use Pentium 3 Tualatin or only Coppermine limitation?

Christian Ney
Added: http://hwbot.org/hardware/motherboard/bxi-atx/ Is it written BXi-ATX or BXi-98 on the motherboard PCB?
fgi
BXi98-ATX is the full name written on the mainboard.
Gumanoid
3 questions and no answers: 1. Can we use Slot1 to Socket 370 adapter? 2. Can we use Pentium 3-S or Celeron (Tualatin)? 3. What about X800 series GPU?
Administrators websmile Posted May 8, 2015 Administrators Share Posted May 8, 2015 This will have to be discussed, you get an update later - on question 3, X800 is not X850, otherwise there would be x8xx. Anyway, we will give headsup soon

Gumanoid
Or you want to say the pentium 3 processors for 3DMark01 is slot 1 limited too?
TerraRaptor
As far as I can see round 2 allows any s370 cpus including tualatin ones. Please clarify on this as I need to decide if I should by VGA or not - I don't want to spend money for slot1 so if round 2 is limited to slot1 cpus I don't need X800 as well. Administrators websmile Posted May 13, 2015 Administrators Share Posted May 13, 2015 (edited) CN is head of moderation Team, when he confirms X800 series includes X8xx/X850 cards, rely on this - I was cautious at my first answer to avoid people buying x850 and then be disappointed if it would have been not useful for this stage Edited May 13, 2015 by websmile
TerraRaptor
So what about stage 2 - any P3 processors or only slot1 as CN says?
Marquzz
So what about stage 2 - any P3 processors or only slot1 as CN says? Only in stage 1 it says the restriction is slot 1. So in stage 2 you should be able to use both slot and socket based P3s

Stermy57
In my opinion Radeon x800 and x850 are the same graphics family So they will be ok!
TerraRaptor
I do agree. Besides that won't make difference at all as scaling was linear for me with CPU and gpu had a very small impact (except some classic tweaks).
