Massman Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 what about nvidia + nature ? EDIT: I like your aircooling too Let's just say it's fixed ... Quote
Massman Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Wish I had a 5.4GHz 2600k to test ... :-/ Quote
TaPaKaH Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 if anyone sells a good E8600 - please PM me the price ... don't have wprimes benched yet and they're hwboint-expensive Quote
tiborrr Posted January 3, 2011 Author Posted January 3, 2011 Well, Sandy sucks. So much potential yet so frustrating to overclock. Quote
Massman Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Do note: I'm not sure how far 5.5GHz will bring you ... maybe scaling stops. Quote
Bullet1 Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Try it on air cooling, maybe you'll get better results because of contra-effect with subzero cooling on SB Quote
Massman Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 This run was on air cooling (took the wrong picture), but before that internal PLL voltage bios fix Quote
K404 Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Please can you test on some nV 8800 or GTX200 cards? Looks like there might be some promise if it keeps scaling to 5.3-5.4GHz Quote
tiborrr Posted January 3, 2011 Author Posted January 3, 2011 5.25GHz is practically ~6.2GHz on C2D. Dang Quote
Massman Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Tweaked or straight shot? This 108k was the second best score after two days playing 01. It's tweaked, but not to the maximum. Please can you test on some nV 8800 or GTX200 cards? Looks like there might be some promise if it keeps scaling to 5.3-5.4GHz I don't have a NV8800 card, but I do have a spare 9800GX2/GTX295 lend from Leeghoofd ... Quote
Linuxfan Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Darn, I hope it doesn't scale so the E8600s are still worthwhile. Amazing. Quote
