speed.fastest Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Very nice! Not bad at all, seems scaling same as ryzen even with that many cores Quote
Lucky_n00b Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Thanks guys More pics here http://oc.jagatreview.com/2017/07/amd-ryzen-threadripper-1950x-ln2-overclocking-mengejar-skor-cinebench-r15-4000/ Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted July 31, 2017 Crew Posted July 31, 2017 Awesome CPU generation, well done Tudor and Alva Quote
Dancop Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Amazing... And only 1.55v...normal ryzen loves way more. Maybe we gonna see some real crazy shit on good boards soon! Quote
Lucky_n00b Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Yeah we're limited by the reference AMD boards, no doubt with board with better power we'll see better OC Anyway, It is said that due to the Threadripper being top binned die, average parts are actually able to hit 4Ghz at 1.32V or even way lower, compared to the average-ish Ryzen 7 that needs 1.4V+ to hit same 4Ghz target. So Best Ryzen 7 parts should be 'average' TR parts (which explains their slightly more aggressive 4.2Ghz XFR bin on TR). Quote
Monstru Posted July 31, 2017 Author Posted July 31, 2017 Thx Albrecht, but I think the reall shoutout should go to AMD for making such a nice CPU and Whitehaven refference board, and also to Amit and Bill who really made it look easy. Daniel - Threadripper is the best silicone AMD has now Quote
