bolc Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 wmi, dcom, intel clock controller service, plug and play, typically these 4 services need to be active. (although on hevc, i cannot get the absolute mode with some service off...) Quote
miker2ka Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 (edited) Does running 4k needs additional services, or smthing? I ran on 9900k 5300 and apex 11, the 1080p score seams inline with other benchers obtained, but at 4k i'm way off. I test on win 7 and win 10. At 4k i should be getting 19+ and average run si 17... link to my 1080p run: https://hwbot.org/submission/4136421_ At 4k with overkill mode most of time doesn't even starts, and i tried to lower frequency to 5100 but the issue persists. Crew Leeghoofd Posted April 21, 2019 Crew Posted April 21, 2019 try just running 4K in Real Time without using overkill (I use this usually for 1080P) Check the screens of the others, ot see how they run... Quote
Mr.Scott Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 4K is much more demanding that 1080P. You will need to decrease your OC or risk killing your hardware. GL Quote
Members GeorgeStorm Posted April 21, 2019 Members Posted April 21, 2019 You may need a bigger maxmem I think? Quote
miker2ka Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 (edited) I tried 5000 but i can.t boot with 12.11.11. Whith loose timming and no maxmem it works fine. Any ideea how to make 3866-4000 c12 boot into win without maxmem? Edited April 21, 2019 by miker2ka Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted April 21, 2019 Crew Posted April 21, 2019 BDIE requires maxmem to be set... I always use value 4000, which leaves me with 2.9ish GB usuable... enough for most of my benching Quote
miker2ka Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 (edited) I know, i use 4000 also, but on my setup is just not enough for x265 4k. With maxmem 4000 i get lower scores than with no maxmem and "normal" ram settings Edited April 22, 2019 by miker2ka Quote

miker2ka Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 Win7 . The one shared by websmile. But the problem is only at 4k. Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted April 22, 2019 Crew Posted April 22, 2019 Tried another OS? I'm using a stock MSDN version of Win7 SP1 ( read not lite ) Quote
miker2ka Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 (edited) Yes same behavior in win 10.... with cpu @ 5300 and no maxmem i score 19+. With maxmem and 4133c12 i score rarely over 18 The biggest issu is when using overkill mode... with maxmem Edited April 22, 2019 by miker2ka Quote

Radi Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 i run 4k on server 2012 with 3072 mo of ram i don't bench with overkil but without it work well  we have, with a friend, noticed that way too . see many screen more powerfull than other with only xmp or c17 . i don't know why Quote
