Mean Machine Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 3dm11 and 32m are enough for one day was it 3 benchmarks last year? '03/Vantage/32M last year, if I'm not mistaken. Which I probably am. Quote
Maxi Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Close, last year was Vantage and 32M...but no '03. That's a good point about '01 matose, maybe someone can talk them into doing one for their board. Quote
Hondacity Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 . Using Extreme Edition Lightning will be better for the sake of fairness because nobody benches that card Our german comrades have benched the 580LXE past 1550mhz i think... its one gpu where memory is so ffffffffffffffffff'd you get the picture lol Quote
slamms Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Frends, send me please all info about Grand Final, because we only recieve invation for visa and no more. My mail slamms@yandex.ru Quote
BenchBros Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 I just know that hardware will shipped in the middle of september. I know from hearsay that benchmarks will be 01, 11, 32M... all on Win7 64bit because of 11. So no confirmed information... Andi Quote
pastelidis Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 There is any media Guy who have received infos about visa? Quote
BenchBros Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 http://www.msi-moa.com/ There are some more information... Quote
BenchBros Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Whats the problem with visa? Why do you need information about it? We just need the address from the hotel and thats all... or I am wrong? Just fill in the form on the flight and you can stay for 30 days in Taiwan. Or has this procedure changed since Jan 2010? Quote
slamms Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 NeoForce will be present russian media. pastelidis now we asked russian office about invation for media. Quote
Mean Machine Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Ouch. So it really is 3DMark 11 on Win 7. Quote
matose Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Dude... 3DMark01 is even more CPU dependent that 3DMark03 used in EMEA Finals. If you have luck with the CPU you win 2 rounds (SPI32M and 3DMark01) and the VGA will count only in 3DMark11 Quote
BenchBros Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 What do you think about the fact that OCTV is not present on world finals? Quote
ME4ME Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 3dmark01 ... oh no, PJ was that your idea? It really makes no sense. Performance will be crap cause of Win7 and MSI EFI-Bios, and mostly it will be very much like a CPU benchmark. Oh well... only 3d11 will be fun then (32M not so much, cause of the traditional low-quality memorie used at MOA). Personally, i'd rather run 3d03+3d11+32M ... or even Vantage Quote
Massman Posted August 31, 2011 Author Posted August 31, 2011 3dmark01 ... oh no, PJ was that your idea? I don't think so. Well, I recall mentioning 01 way back in February before EMEA, but that discussion didn't last for more than three or four lines. It's an okay choice, I guess. Sandy Bridge is a difficult platform as foundation of an extreme OC competition. Also, don't forget that the MOA is all about % gain, so with the right formulas tweaking 01 might turn out to be important. Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted August 31, 2011 Crew Posted August 31, 2011 What do you think about the fact that OCTV is not present on world finals? I can't grasp it. Did something happen at the Euro finals ? Trouffman drinks too much ? Hopefully we will see good coverage,..., via the OC TV team.... Quote
saint19 Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 OCTV is out for MSI's choice, they want cover the event himself and until now the keep that position. Quote
Crew Trouffman Posted August 31, 2011 Crew Posted August 31, 2011 NTU Sport Center seems nice area, was same space as last year, so plenty of room for all the competitors. What do you think about the fact that OCTV is not present on world finals? Being the one concerned... very very sad... especially becasue we did cover all the regional qualifiers... I can't grasp it. Did something happen at the Euro finals ? Trouffman drinks too much ? Hopefully we will see good coverage,..., via the OC TV team.... Not from what we know actually. I don't drink too much I just love to party that dosen't change the coverage anyway ^^ There will be no coverage if we are not invited and a good coverage is important... especially for the aftermovie / video / live broadcast / update and see other OCers around the world too... EDIT : We really want to see you guys and provide the OCers that stayed at home the most information about what is happening on stage OCTV is out for MSI's choice, they want cover the event himself and until now the keep that position. To be clear MSI is not brodacasting with OCTV but a local company, that is not the main problem as we can re-use the stream + add update, talk, special info and scores debate.... but for that we need to get invited there... NB : To be 100% clear I'm not complaining about MSI choice not to broadcast with us, I just don't get why they invited us for all the regional qualifiers (America / EMEA / APAC) and not the WW final... Quake Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Do you guys know what HW are going to be used? Will it be Marshall or GD80? What memory? Any info? Quote
ME4ME Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Z68A-GD80 and Lightning XE from what ive heard. PSU will probably be Thermaltake, and memory from Kingston (not sure) Quote
Massman Posted September 1, 2011 Author Posted September 1, 2011 Hardware for the final is apparently: Mainboard: MSI Z68A-GD80 (G3) Graphics Card: MSI N580GTX Lightning CPU: Intel Core i7-2600K Processor Memory: Kingston (TBD) HDD: Western Digital VelociRaptor WD3000HLFS PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower 1350W Keyboard: Tt eSPORTS Challenger Pro Mouse: Tt eSPORTS Black Gaming Mouse Quote
Mean Machine Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 So, there will be no 3D records, the CPUs will burn, no efficiency in 32M due to crappy RAM and PSU will OCP over 1300MHz GPU. Quote
Hondacity Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 psu has 120A for 12v, its two power supplies in one packaging. its pretty good. Quote
Hondacity Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 yes, its the new hx1000, beefier mosfets Quote
