Crew Trouffman Posted September 10, 2011 Crew Posted September 10, 2011 lool @ the babe and not inviting OCTV Yep... sadly this is confirmed.... OCTV will not attend the MSI MOA until MSi change their minds... So.... no live broadcast from us directly.... No aftermovie from us directly..... and no update.... no pictures.... no after party.... humm what else that's gonna be fail ? (just kidding!) I feel very sad as this will be the FIRST TIME ever since the big competition started that i will not be attending due to organiser decision (and not personal timings.. ) I wish i could buy my plane ticket but can't money-wise (even if it's kind dirt cheap compared to some EU flights !) Sad enought that we did attend the USA + EMEA + APAC final.... so that would have been the perfect time to finish the big coverage... Quote
Massman Posted September 10, 2011 Author Posted September 10, 2011 Tim won't cover the event himself either? Quote
Perica_barii Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Too bad Troufman, I was looking for after-party in your company...Massman will miss you also .... Quote
Mafio Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 WTF, OCTV not invited that sucks badly...nice try MSI, nice try... Quote
slamms Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Let's arrange a riot? No interviews, no smiles for the camera! Quote
matose Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 We are in Let's support OCTV together Quote
pastelidis Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Trouf how much money do you need? Quote
Crew Trouffman Posted September 10, 2011 Crew Posted September 10, 2011 Tim won't cover the event himself either? Still under discussion internally at the moment... but No support to OCTV = no coverage. We have 2 staff located in taiwan now so we can easily cover, but this is not "free" but almost Too bad Troufman, I was looking for after-party in your company...Massman will miss you also .... Me too buddy.... that is too bad I will not come... Just try to qualify for next year as... i will be living in taiwan ! (expcept if they refuse my visa application ) WTF, OCTV not invitedthat sucks badly...nice try MSI, nice try... Actually I'm not flying to TPE for it... first time in the OC even WW finals (i did attend all the WW final since 2008 MOA / GOOC ) but i don't mind if I'm not coming... I jsut want they support OCTV to be there and do something for you guys... (still unders discussion internally about that as said, we have 2 OCTV staff (xyala / akane) + a few contributors that can help ) Let's arrange a riot? No interviews, no smiles for the camera! hahaha "Why you don't smile ?" "Na !!! I want OCTV xD" Anyway you gonna need to smile... at least once.... for our interview (NOT related to MOA ) We are in Let's support OCTV together Well said Support OCTV not Trouffman ! I do hope that MSI will support OCTV for the event and we can do a real coverage with staff on-stage (even if i'm not coming ) That said, i'm not gonna fly to TPE... no money to pay the flight... NB : I don't have anger against MSI... Quote
pastelidis Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 (edited) We calculate : it's around 600-700e for the flight. if we get 550€ for trouff and pay the difference for the flight, he promised to arrange a big after party on the event night (if msi didn't already.) Mean Machine Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 There will be an aftermovie of sorts, so don't worry about that not happening. It might be a bit different, but definitely devoid of french accents. There will be cameras to smile for. There will be interviews. Quote

Mean Machine Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Hardware is here time for the fun to begin. Most importantly where are we partying when the competition is over? luxy? Who forgot their pants last year lol I managed to book a hotel directly above Luxy... So I don't really have any reason not to be there a night or two after the competition. Quote
ME4ME Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Hardware arrived yesterday, now need to find time to actually test it *nothing heard about flights though... Quote
Massman Posted September 14, 2011 Author Posted September 14, 2011 More positive news! MSI has pretested all the 2600Ks and removed the worst and the best from the pack. Also, each team will have two CPUs for the competition. Quote
Stelaras Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 (edited) So they removed the 59x and the 51x .Now we only have to be lucky and don't get the 52X .... :D:D I hope that the CPU's are all o/cing very close . Edited September 14, 2011 by Stelaras Quote
BenchBros Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 (edited) Two CPUs per team... good news So together with the CPU binning the luck-factor is decreased... Edited September 14, 2011 by BenchBros Quote

El Gappo Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 They should just not send stuff out, mods should be done there. Quote

I don't know aht other info the may have. You can ask yourself the MSI HQ for more info .Their english is not very good and i can't fully understand everything they say . Quote
