OptyTrooper Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 We're in here somewhere - Maybe. http://hwbot.org/community/submission/2168814_bones_wprime_32m_2x_athlon_xp_m_2800__38sec_531ms I knew you'd pop up. Nice run Bones. I'll be setting up for 462 as well but I think you got me beat out the gate. Quote
der8auer Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 Can't upload my FX-74 result Oops. Something went wrong. We could blame this on you but it's most likely our crappy coding skills. You could try again or nudge our developpers for fixing this. Massman Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 FX-74 is in the database under Socket L1, not under Socket F. So, it can't be used. Quote
der8auer Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 Socket L1 and Socket F is the same. Both got 1207 contacts and with BIOS update you can even use an Opteron on an L1N64-SLI WS So this should be allowed or? IMO L1 is just a different name for PR use... nothing more Quote
Massman Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 So I should call it 'Socket 1207' ? What other CPUs can fit on 1207? Quote
der8auer Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 Yes i think Socket 1207 would fit better. Opteron 2xxx series Opteron 8xxx series Athlon 64 FX-7x series Quote
knopflerbruce Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 Well, not all 2xxx and 8xxx chips fit in the socket - some are C32/G34, hehe... but any Santa Rosa, Barcelona, Shanghai or Istanbul CPU will work in (some) socket F boards. Quote
Christian Ney Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 AMD Master said something PM me for Bulldozer's news Quote
OptyTrooper Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 So I can submit my old socket 1207 runs seeing as I sold my board? I mean they are valid runs and I have pics. Quote

Massman Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Should now be possible to submit with the 1207 FX-74s Quote
OptyTrooper Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Since when did you start child hating Massman? I mean others I knew but is this a recent development? Quote
der8auer Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Should now be possible to submit with the 1207 FX-74s Thanks! Just made my submission with the FX-74 Quote

The-Wolf Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 What about 2x Athlon 64 FX-74?Are those allowed in scoket F? http://hwbot.org/community/submission/2164765_the_wolf_wprime_32m_2x_athlon_64_fx_74_12sec_58ms Wish my question had been answered earlier while I was still playing with the FX. I tryed to summit my score way back before my post here but got the same results as the other guy posted. Would not let me place the score at that time. Not sure there is enough time left to get up a team now. Plus I'll be out of town next week. Oh well it could have been fun. Good luck all. Quote
OptyTrooper Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 I'm sure you'll do something for me to worry about later. BTW nice run with those T-Breds. Well I might have some MP-2400's coming in today. That's only a rumor mind you. Quote
Bones Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Well I might have some MP-2400's coming in today. That's only a rumor mind you. Uh huh. We know how the rumor mill works. I'll be looking to see what you manage when "Whatever" shows up on your doorstep. Quote

cyclone Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Contest activity impresses much -) Is there a single category with results from at least 10 teams? IMO epic fail contest. Sorry if I'm repeating somebody's words, didn't read all the thread carefully. Yup, I know that HWBOT is not only about OCing new and popular hardware but also pushing old rigs and having fun. Anyway dual-CPU setups are "very popular and overclockable" even here, at HWBOT. Sorry for late opinion -) p.s. Even GeForce 2 MX400 OCing would be much more funny and impressive if you want some old-skool madness. Quote
Massman Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 "epic fail contest" Luckily, we're not aiming for huge participant ratios with the HWBOT OC Challenges. Just aiming for having fun and giving peeps who normally are not in the spotlights a chance to show off their skills or not so common systems. Quote

Unfortunately we at XtremeLabs.org don't even have a single dual-CPU rig to join the battle for fun -))Anyway you are the boss so good luck with this & upcoming contests! Quote
