Can't go to France to grab my rigs for the next 3 weeks (2 days ago I was in France though FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU), too bad this one sounds load of fun. Next time announce it earlier :P

Uh there is a good chance to win something, if Christian Ney cannot start his loads of rigs...

Might be a good thing to tell what benchmark you plan on using. It's not mentioned on the entire challenge page. ;)

EDIT- Nevermind. I see the benchmarks on the stage pages.:o

You thinking of the 06 one back in Feb?

Possibly. I remember fighting my ass off for that one:p 01 will be even more GPU bound I bet. The question is... what CPU to use, and can I get Ln2 in time??

One with a large cache :P

Remember Opteron 144@3.1GHz beating Venice at 3.4. Not sure about dual-core vs single core.

Dual core should be better, but if it's too gpu-bound, I don't know.

Finally some use of my AGP cards, but I'm not sure if I will have time for all this.

I have no idea... but I guess you need ~10% higher speed with a single than a dual. I can 06 at 3550-3600, so I'm thinking I can do a tad more for 01, although it's a weird chip. How much FX57 power do I need to match that+ :P

I take it that the second stage has no restrictions on GPU number or cores allowed? Thought I would ask before setting up anything...

For AGP stage are there some limits? I mean CPU clock, manufactor or something else?
The benchmark limitations will be revealed on Oct 17, 2012.

Isn't the suspense fun? :D
