Sharkie
Good day all I would appreciate your advice on a 'potential' batch number if you could assist me. It is: L340B838 That is what I was told, the 4930k was purchased last month. I would like to know if this is infact a correct batch number, and if so, has anyone had any experience with chips in this batch? Thank you

Doug2507
That's a lot of juice going through that chip for water, especially for running hard 2d! I'll update the batch list with the last few pages of chips later today.
snipereye17
ya i thought the vcore was kinda high too maybe my chip just voltage hungry or i just have some voltage settings not right in bios Edited April 15, 2014 by snipereye17
Crew Leeghoofd Posted April 15, 2014 Crew Share Posted April 15, 2014 Just tested 2 Costa Rica 3350B392 one boots into windows fine at 4600MHz 1.35, doesn't make it into windows 4700MHz at 1.4 second one needs 1.375 to just boot into windows at 4600MHz Neither of them does 4500MHz at 1.2Vcore Don't think they are worth it to waste any LN2 on... Doug2507
Yeah, think maybe a good quick check is 4500. For good ambient clocker that needs to be down around 1.1v CB/Vantage. LN2 the same (or less) i think for a good one but still hit and miss if it'll go the distance without hitting a wall. Quite a few seem to stop around 1.65v. snipereye17
Has anyone ever tested oem cpus if so how do they test compared to a retail ones
Doug2507
Think there's been a mix across the board for OEM/retail. Don't think it makes much if any difference tbh. What you're paying for is Intel warranty with retail should things go south.

Doug2507
Nice chip, don't kill it running prime for hours! Do a run/screen of cinebench/wprime &/or vantage and i'll add it to the list.
Grillob3
http://valid.canardpc.com/eqwgll Just pass 8:30hrs of prime and cinabench with 1.36v bios and dropping all the rest of the voltages. With ram at 2133.

suzuki
http://valid.canardpc.com/eqwgll Just pass 8:30hrs of prime and cinabench with 1.36v bios and dropping all the rest of the voltages. With ram at 2133. Unless it's stable for 36 hours of prime with avx ...it's no good. Keep on pushing the brains out of that cpu, you're on the right path.
