The official Country Cup 2019 - 10th Anniversary Edition thread.
Only simple solution would be to disallow any unlocking of anything - Which is to say either it's a true Deneb by name or it's not. Personally I'd love to run my 555 BE but by just saying no unlocking allowed would make things alot easier to know and resolve any "Can I use this" questions, would also make moderation alot easier too since the line of what is and isn't allowed is readily defined that way.

Largely the same with a Callisto core which is a Deneb with two cores disabled. I know it's a mess with all the different variations in play, if I'm not mistaken even an older Heka core unlocked is a first gen Deneb too so...... There ya go. Better to go ahead and mention such now while it's still early in the game.

Alby Appreciation Thread
+1 to the above. This doesn't need to disappear, instead it could be stickied so the next time it starts up (And it will sooner or later) you can just find the thread and "Point" to it as warning to whomever.

Alby Appreciation Thread
Alby just needs to do what's best for Alby, plain and simple.

Alby Appreciation Thread
All I can say is Leeg has been nothing but fantastic in my experience. If he zapped an entry I made it was with good reason and I know he got a few of them but I didn't complain because I knew there had to be something to it and in every case there was. I'm sorry to see him go if he really decides to but to those that didn't like him there is one thing to remember - If you had a problem with Leeg and didn't like him for whatever reason that's fine because that's you, not my problem or really my business TBF about it. All I can hope for is the next mod that comes along doesn't give you even more reason to be pissed off, sometimes the one you know now is far better than the one you'll meet later.

Is overclocking DEAD or dying?
I understand where Miller is coming from, things are changing with time and that's natural of course. However with the investment the older guys have in all the hardware they've accumilated over the years it doesn't make sense to kill that off either. I do however agree restrictions could be a little "Looser" so more can participate but that call is not mine to make. I disagree in killing off the legacy part of the bot, If something were to happen such as a Legacy comp, division or whatever form it takes - I'm fine with it but I do understand "Why" Miller is thinking this because the newer stuff is here and it always will be, like it or not and it must be accounted for too. Miller is right about one thing, thinking of the newer guys is important if we want this hobby to continue or it becomes something that just fades away with time. Maybe promoting the site and what we do might work, if we can get just one out of a thousand that comes here browsing to at least try it, that would be better than how it is currently from the looks of it. I've noted even now how many are still running/subbing for XTU and it's mostly the new guys doing it and that's fine, once they get in the door they'll see there's more to it than XTU alone - I certainly hope so and we'd need to help them see what it's really all about.

Leeg did say to let the hatred flow..... And I did with my suggestion which, BTW is just that and no more. And wadda ya mean Team Comp? That's already done for the year. ?

Country CUP - 10th Anniversary design thread:
Had an idea come to mind. How about a Socket A stage with a restriction of no NF2 chipset boards used? Can be any bench you'd like ran and that would make the stage a real challenge to say the least of it.

Didn't care for all the dogpile stages myself. It's really not a bad thing, just so much of it going on.

WTB EU: High-end Socket 939 board (FOUND)
I'll throw in and say out of the Asus lineup the A8N32 SLI-Deluxe is the best for SLI use. Has two x16 PCI-E lanes, that does make a difference and OC's well enough too.

Benchmate 10.6.8 is out!! NO MORE SUPPORT FOR GEEKBENCHES!!
To me I don't see this going any further. I've noted more than once Mr. Poole has expressed concern/worry about getting sued and since he's running a business that's understandable, yet at the same time a solution could be worked out IF all parties involved were willing to. That much I'm certain of. However Mr. Poole has made is clear he has no desire to do such and doesn't matter whether it could be potentially good for the bench as in increasing exposure and interest in the bench..... Which would in turn mean more licenses for it sold. Clearly his mind is made up and I see that from what's been said along the way with the back and forth banter in the thread between himself and Mat along with other comments. In short: With all this, worrying about it is pointless - Drop it and move on, there will always be other benchies to take it's place later.

USA GUYS - Gauging Interest Country Cup 2020
Can't say yes ATM but I'm definitely interested. I'll have to see where my finances stack up at that time.
