  1. I can't talk about that or anything we may or may not do with unreleased hardware. All I can say is I know what hardware we are benching on for comp and the list in previous post is accurate.
  2. The system will be gulftown, xpower, lightning, patriot ram, I forget what PSU, antec I think......this is not a guess btw. It will not be sandybridge, be kinda hard for them to make results public with stuff under NDA...........
  3. That pin is not out of place, nor was it my doing, its a clean crack new out of box. I have higher res shots, took them right after i removed socket cover. click on pic again for full size. http://chew.ln2cooling.com/XS%20low%20clock/IMG_3142.JPG Whatever the case doesn't matter, I worked with board the way it was.
  4. "IT's" just what they bring. In your case IT better be a wallpaper though
  5. Hey now these driver were a pain to score on, 1100 almost got broken I blame it on the missing/broken pin my board came with right out of the box.....I snapped it the rest of way off and plodded on. I must say i totally expected socket to fry especially with a pin missing in the "danger" area. To my surprise, the socket remained uncharred after extensive abuse however there has been a device with trouble code 28 ever since i first posted board, no clue if it's related to pin.
  6. Thx, did the best i could with my 1 $129.99 ( on sale ) chip that I could afford months ago and only 30L of ln2 becausue I was broke. Special thx to Gautam and Movieman for the ln2.
  7. Just thought I'd put this out there. When i'm wrong i'm wrong or make a mistake I am man enough to admit it. I made a mistake. Kudos to OCA for not reporting Gomelers score. Gomeler impressive run man shame it has to end this way
  8. Sorry but you clearly misread rules. FM link mandatory only for 5k series vantage and 400 series vantage. FM link was not a requirement for IGP comp, I just subbed one personally so no questions were asked and no would could attempt to contest my score..............god knows I knew people would try to find something Also for the record, this has nothing to do with personal if thats the case me and gomer had a falling out quite some time ago in a koolance ln2 pot thread. However just becasue we don't see eye to eye does not mean i don't have respect for a hard earned score, especially when the hard earned score is at a rather large clock deficit....... What that shows me is exactly what MSI is looking for, a cut above the rest, if someone wants to win that bad to make a deal out it, shame on them. Not like a cpu-z or gpu-z tab was missing.
  9. Thats all well and good, I talked to MSI, think they will be making an exception due to circumstances.........after all they have final say Nice to see peoples true colors though. If someone had a spine they would drop it, and concede the win to the obviously better man instead of dragging it out.
  10. With 1995 drivers yep backups don't matter now Rebench with 1995 drivers later.
  11. Need more whine with my crackers. If you make a big deal out of gomers score you truly are a poor sport.......
  12. Gom, 1.93 vgpu temps i had to hold at -110 or QPI would bug. Try read to read same rank 5 Gom, screen will stop artifacting over 180 then
  13. I'm sure they will be lenient unless someone cries about it to much. Nice result gom, had me worried for a few there.
  14. When I first put my hypers in board would not post.....install 1 stick closest to cpu black slot post board, install next stick in black slot and post board, if that is sucessfull do it one more time with 3rd stick........ Boot 190 to 195 bclk..........then up it from there with dashboard....... You have to go full manual timings and unlinked if your chasing speeds i'm running at, and when I say full manual not just setting to manual I mean running memtest and playing with each timing Last but not least do not gorilla balls tighten heatsink down, you should be able to spin it with ease. I actually loosened my waterblock up while in bios trying to figure shit out and it locked.......then i played around with that and sure enough i could piss the board off if it wasn't just barely secured. Yah I noticed that awsome .60 droop as well............I might add board requires some patience for damn sure, lucky me i had plenty of training with 2 kids.
  15. For shits and giggles I reran my same settings in 64 bit win 7. I used regular GT 2000 7-8-7 for all my 32m runs sort of at massmans request but also because he had already tested GTX2 I figured i'd make sure compatibilty was ok on a set he does not have at his disposal. I am not going to say it's simple but with the right amount of finesse the board can clock ram decent while maintaining a high CPU clock. One thing I would like to note although maybe it was just a 1 time deal, very ginger mount pressure is something I would reccomend you try if you have this board and are having some issues.
  16. tbh splave, it will work......problem is not reliably unless you drop uncore.....as In I would not want to waste the time on ln2 getting it to work especially in my circumstance where i can't afford to piss away ln2, nor is a 5.6 gig 32m chip worth my time/ln2 more than once in it's life span. Trying to pinpoint it for bios feedback but no luck so far.
  17. That problem was shady drivers........... There is still the ability to bug vantage however which totally has nothing to do with even platform, cpu,vga or driver used.......... GT2 would be where you would bug high. It's elementary, if it looks to good to be true for these specific drivers which I might add suck ( or work right depending on your perception of things ) then it probably is. I'd show you but my board and cpu is dead, going to go kill a lightning now since i'm on a roll lately.
  18. The result was not possible at the screenshot speed. GT2 looked bugged.
  19. scaredy cat. I will make you a deal, let him use whatever voltage he thinks is necessary with "AIR" on the ram.........if they die I will personally RMA your set.
  20. Had I never oced cpu ever , I might be inclined to. Was actually prepping to run vantage on a 480 and was lazy so used software in windows to calculate scaling. Having killed it I swapped in a dud sempron. Same exact thing. I'm used to it this week by now, can't wait till sunday is over, bad luck week for me. Stars are not alligned in my favor. $2000 in hardware deaths, not a happy camper.
  21. Motherboard bug alert. Biostar TA785GE 128M Basically with a specific bios, umm check Elgappos result, its same bios. ( 07/01/2010 ) Boot stock defaults. Install biostar T clock utility. Reboot. Run fsb up in windows with utility from default 200 to 205 bus apply and congrats you have just killed your sempron 140. Tested on 2 cpu's so yes its confirmed, any takers to try on other model cpu's be my guest, i'm straight having killed 2 cpu's testing bug.
