  1. So, find a case where you have similar screenshots and people got banned for that alone - after rev 4 was introduced (sharing punishment got changed at that point, too)
  2. I bet they'd screw up mine, too:D And then you have skulstation (sic), who can't spell his own:p
  3. OK, but bottom line: we can't disallow people to change the mobo brand. That's what I was trying to say, just pointed out a difference. We need to look at this as if they have to prove they have a pair of CPUs that can run frequencies not too far from the ones in the screenshot. Perhaps we already know that they have the hardware needed (7GHz chips), but still... no Livestream session can prove that they didn't share results back then - in fact the case is then that we don't have good enough proof (similar screenshots alone haven't been enough for a long time - despite that some people think otherwise), and there's also no way for the accused to prove themselves innocent.
  4. There are several ways to unlock a CPU to 3x. I think some ASUS boards can do that directly if the 4th core isn't stable at all, but usually you have to unlock to 4x and then disable one core in BIOS. Both ways are definately legal.
  5. If this is the same situation as with Ronaldo, why not just ask for the exact same proof? Then there is no doubt about any double standard at all. I also believe that we didn't ask anyone to repeat the exact results back then, just something fairly close to it - not sure if "how close" was properly defined, but 150-200MHz less should be OK. Thats roughly equal to 50MHz core on a GPU, which I think would've been judged as enough proof back then. The bclk case has been dealt with. I don't see the real need to do it, but it's ceratinly doable. This can't be disallowed, people flash their GPUs all the time... same thing (except they don't use it for marketing purposes, but that's another story).
  6. That's not OK. Post some links here and I'll edit them, or you can report them if you prefer.
  7. I guess Flank3r will get a few free kits from memory manufacturers now.
  8. ...and one of the things we ask for is a set of pictures that proves they had access to multiple chips of that particular model, so now we know they have more than one 3770k. Standard procedeure.
  9. I like to think I started because I got a very good Athlon X2 3800+ when I built my first computer and wanted to see if I could grab some records, but I think I would've started even if I ended up with a shitty CCBWE chip back then. As most others, the real beginning was that I wanted more performance for less $$$.
  10. We need to decide that in each case that pops up. IMO if you have a really good CPUZ chip you also should be able to produce a 1m/pifast score that reflects performance equal to valid minus a couple of hundred MHz, and same reasoning goes for memory frequency scores. If you can't show that => we don't give benefit of doubt.
  11. I said it was allowed (-check any subs with said driver-) if no decision was made 24h after I made my post, and nothing happened before today... so the complete opposite. Not sure if people actually read it that way, but if people complain IMO we have no other option but to allow it. I might have said the same thing to people in MSN, too. The problem appeared ~4 weeks ago, kinda late to say this now if you ask me. This question was brought up a long time ago, and if there is no official response for a while, it's fair to assume that he driver is indeed fine to use in this competition.
  12. OK, I got the impression that you were only waiting for that stupid PM. Cool PS: that prizes are shipped after all the stages are done should be written below the prize list, don't you think?
  13. It's not ossible, unless you did something like the known text edit tweak, but for HDD general usage
  14. Any news about the boards yet? I think Vince sent you a PM ... at least he said he did (and if he didn't, you don't have to be a genius to figure out who gets all three mobos Deux can confirm that, and he's the only other guy who had point giving scores for PURE). Kinda tired of waiting now, shouldn't have to wait one month - should be like "stage over" => "talk to winners" => stuff shipped. That's a fast process, a couple of days tops. It's hardly a prize if they show up when the next generation is out...
  15. I guess too much of the budget was spent on paying Massman
  16. Massman made the stage, so he should come in and solve this. My personal opinion is that if it's possible to run 1:1 without a disadvantage in mem clocks, then that's a good solution to this problem. Too bad this platform is too old, even for me:p
  17. HT counts as a feature, and not a core. Bulldozer, on the other hand, is defined to have 8 cores although that's not 100% true (IMO it's more like a beefed up quad core).
