  1. I need to actually bench it first. I will do it, but not yet (exams...).
  2. There was a seller who had a few a long time ago, so I bought them while they were still available. He had 3 models, q7500, q7600 and q7700. Pretty rare chips.
  3. Huh? There are many quads - did someone say the QX chips are not allowed? In reality you need certain cpus to be able to compete in any such competition. E6320 won't do much good here even if you only allow duals, for example. This principle does not change if we allow quads or not. Still, it says Core 2 series, and quads are definately a part of that series.
  4. I'm sure there are people here who can answer as well. personally i don't really know, though. Something AMD based if you want to OC, unless you want to buy used parts, like 2500k. Used 2500k + decent aftermarket cooler is probably your best bet, but I barely use cases at all, sohard for me to estimate cost and stuff.
  5. Bear Grylls HWBot edition.
  6. You could make an LGA/PGA "joke" here too... Got too many CPus here...
  7. Yeah. They're based on the Core 2 technology at least.
  8. At least there are dual core 1000 chips out there, so that stage should be added.
  9. Anyone tried the DFI style CCMOS? (that is, leaving the board for a few days with no battery).
  10. I guess registry is key. Anyone tried to just delete anything related to rtf and unicode?
  11. I remember this one. Did it happen again recently? I sent a batch question to a guy that didn't reply:p
  12. I think only result mods will understand these:D
  13. No, there is an issue with CPUz - sometimes you overwrite an older validation if you upload a few cvf files within a short time period. I was semi-aware of the issue, so I took a screenshot of the original validation - which is the FX55 one. The one that's actually displayed is the FX57 I had a long time ago.
  14. Yes, but it's not. Some guy at XS had one like this, says FX55 on the IHS and boots 2.6GHz stock, but reads FX57 in CPUZ. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?64370-Fx&p=889817&viewfull=1#post889817 I can post a picture of the CPu if I have to:D
  15. Each score is worth exactly the same (by this i mean that there are no factors that make one subtest more valuable than another), so there is no bottleneck...
  16. In reality it's the relative gain in a subtest that determines how much a tweak is "worth". Like, if you improve text edit so that your tweaked score is 10x the original, then the score is 10^(1/16) times higher than it was before (=1.155, or if you wish: the total score increase is 15.5% when ANY subtest score is 10x the initial value). I don't know how effective the TW tweaks are on your hightech systems, but maybe 3-4 times better than a totally untweaked score?
