  1. Has other people all benched it already Shane? Pass it around with your board please
  2. Haha. The only sharing I’ve done is try someone else’s board to confirm my Chip was ok. Is that an issue?? never touched an ES. what I seen lately, is a couple of you guys using what looks like same board and same ES chip, with you being from the same team. Just sharing an observation. Any pointers who to ask for the 3 7740X’s?? ? Great score regardless of my comment.
  3. I have similar on my 3900X. Basically, every reboot down to -38 to retrain and boot. Is a lot of torching and wasted litres of LN2. Any lower temp would 8d code on reboot. Using my Single Stage is futile, as -58 is a bad mem training zone. I found the same with FCLK, make no difference as the big is training, not FCLK related. My last session was on 1001 bios which wasn’t good for CB for me. Same CBB behaviour on the C6H. In time I hope there is a fix to help. Will retry on 0050 bios on next fill. On gigabyte board, with some mem settings could reboot with -150 to -170. But didn’t spend a lot of time on it.
  4. Is this OCN crowd share 7740X ES #2? where do I sign up?
  5. Did you install the vcredist, and graphics card drivers?
  6. I love GPUpi, its one benchmark that's actually repeatable and responds to changes, like the original SuperPi. Bring it on, legacy GPUpi, socket 775
  7. Have you tried with another CPU? I found some chips after i delid would refuse to work in Dual Channel in my Apex, other boards were fine. Could just be the chip.
  8. Dry Ice is a tough one on this platform to bench man. How was the memory training bug for you?
  9. Thanks everyone. It’s a really tricky one on this platform, as scaling just falls away very quickly. If it scaled correctly like my spreadsheets it should have been much faster, but after 5-5.2g it really takes a hit. This run was with 1.5s greater efficiency at 4ghz, but only 0.2s faster at full out. I tried 4 dimms, but unfortunately The board either doesn’t like mixed PCB types, or I have a bad slot which is most likely the issue. I never had had much success with 4Dimms on this board, and the 1st and 3rd are difficult to get to boot even with 2 dimms. I don’t have any 16gb dimms so cannot test it.
  10. B-Die? Hynix E or something else? mad speed from the Zen2. Congrats.
  11. I could always have a crack at 4 DIMM's and see where it goes. Into the rabbit hole we go.
  12. I only have B-Die sticks handy. Wouldn't know where or what a set of Dual Rank is or how it would help. Thanks man, fingers crossed. Cheers, its a PITA but it can happen. Just need everything to be right to get there, and last night it wasn't quite.
  13. Had a go last night full out, but efficiency seemed a little off I think. Bad mount didn't help max clock I don't think but close enough. https://hwbot.org/submission/4221311_ Similar results on cold No CB @ 1467 FCLK -180 @ 1500 FCLK -150 @ 1600 FCLK -120 @ 1733 FCLK Reboots required torching to -38 to train and boot again. Few more little things to try including a better mount but not sure this CPU has the legs. Nearly there though.
  14. LN2 delivery delayed until Monday now. Hopefully finish work early to play again then. @Hardware_Numb3rs do you have a 5ghz run saved? would like to compare for scaling between the different setups.
  15. 1. See above, but I got it from a friend. 2. I have hopefully a LN2 fill due tomorrow. Will let everyone know once I have had a try. At this stage at -60 on the SS I am in a world of pain though, it's just in that zone of making training a full pain in the ass. Board is still very capable once you work it all out, only negative is you can't go nuts with A2 PCB DIMMs like the X570 have allowed. My board isn't happy past 4000C12-1t or 2t so running high mem speed and low FCLK for avoiding cold issues isn't possible. 4000C12 with 1000FCLK is stupid slow.
  16. Did get 3800C12-12-1T with 1900FCLK running also. Nice and Tight, seems to be pulling ahead now against my 2700X efficiency. Including a 4.6G run for reference on scaling. At 4.2ghz its a good 12 seconds faster. 2933C9/1467 Performance wasn't too bad either, 4 seconds faster than my 2700X Efficiency at 4200.
  17. If you ever find the key Infrared, I’d love to hear it. My current tests have 3620c11-1t around 8m21s with Waza in W7 x64 on C6H/3900X testing 2:1 ratios now ready for cold but the performance hit is big. Same 4g but 4000C12-2t/1000FCLK is at 8m34s. Huge difference . I also did a few tests at 4000C12-12-1T but the improvements over 2T weren't really there.
