  1. The Physics and combined test don't use PhysX; only Vantage CPU tests were affected by PhysX.
  2. I heard something about records. Lots of records .
  3. It's one of the options, yes. But recalculating will take over a week then, I think. A week in which new submissions have been made and the people who submitted those also want their points instantly.
  4. Yeah, seems like a conscious error. Just removed those benchmarks from the database.
  5. I will check with MSI. If it was upto me, not allowed, but it's MSI's competition.
  6. Small update: The update was planned for this sprint, but will be postponed until the next one. Biggest problem at the moment is figuring out how to not overload the server when recalculating the submissions when adjustment goes live. It takes about 4 days to completely recalculate all submissions.
  7. Let's not allow ES, though. No need to get Intel involved It's live: http://hwbot.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=121
  8. :nana:
  9. Back! Will post some (not-so) funny pictures tonight.
  10. It's not dying, but evolving. Imho, the biggest problem is follow-through. People are interested in overclocking, but don't really know how to start or are enthusiastic enough to continue with it. But overclocking (as we know it, historically speaking) is highly dependant on CPU and GPU architecture, more so than any for of competition. Simply said, overclocking will be "popular" when the system is CPU bound and the CPU does not scale with voltage or temperature. Like Sandy Bridge. I'm currently putting down some thoughts on paper regarding this.
  11. New hardware coming up. Also I saw a couple of great scores in the past couple of weeks from for example SF3D and Xtreme Addict. As for news - I've been on holiday since February 6. The Team Cup seems pretty active, though!
  12. Awaiting for confirmation from Coolermaster, will update info soon!
  13. Hehe, I'm just kidding. Always nice to see people push the low-end stuff hard!
  14. Tesselation for the new benchmark is the same problem as for 3DMark11: you need to verify only if Tesselation was used. So either force verification links or only allow screenshots with system connected to the internet. No more just taking a screenshot to compare, the a lot of manual procedure (run, screenshot, save file, upload, copy url, fill in details). Should we open a different thread for this, maybe? I'm split 50/50 on the issue. (the easiest way would of course be to use hwbot benchmark api for submissions )
  15. Yes - will wrap things up when I'm back from vacation and in front of my usual workstation/notebook again
  16. Wow, long time no see! Nice start, hoping to see further improvements. First 3770K?
  17. Updated the opening post - 22 confirmed going, Computex is gonna be awesome
  18. It has to be live-live, in front of an audience of real people. Pretty much like doing on an exhibition like CeBIT or inside a shop as demo. I'll reduce the requirement of "50 people" maybe. In front of 10 or 20 people would be fine too as long as it's an open event. We will be very flexible approving results in this stage ;-)
  19. Both launched in 2005, so not allowed. Not allowed, the cards were released in 2003 and 2005. Only 2002 cards are allowed. Yes, allowed. Should be added soon!
  20. I've added it to the Rev5 backlog, but not as a high priority since it will probably involve a lot of work.
  21. FYI - it's Chinese New Year holiday this week, so no one is working in the headquarters of MSI. we will announce the lucky draw winner next week (but of course the lucky draw entry pool is closed now).
  22. Nice results!
  23. Yes, those submissions are not valid. The idea is that you show overclocking in front of other people, not just post your own session. You need to get out of your house for this part of the Team Cup
