Calathea Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Should be fun, I guess this will be the first time benching subzero ram for many overclockers out there (including me) Quote
Massman Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 I think most stages are doable on air cooling, but ... it's not going to be easy if you want low timings for ultimate performance Quote
M.Beier Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Lower timings isnt beating higher uncore.... But for the looks of it I still want to give it a shot Quote
xxbassplayerxx Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Well... I have the memory... Â But not the IMC Â Anyone going to be having fun with this? Quote

xxbassplayerxx Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Since SB is dropping in early January, any chance of them being added to the competition? Â I remember the rumors about 2400 being cake on memory! Quote
Massman Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Dominator GT area  Hyper, PSC, D9GTR (Thuban), ... plenty of choice!  Since SB is dropping in early January, any chance of them being added to the competition? I remember the rumors about 2400 being cake on memory!  Yeap!  First I have to verify the overclocking capabilities of the SNB, though. SSA Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Cannot imagine how much I love to compete and regret I can't  Good Luck everybody .very very nice contest . Quote
nolonger Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Awesome, I have two memory kits to try on my Clarkdale. I got a set of PSC and Hypers, should be fun. Quote
MaJ0r Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Good competition! I think not only Dominator GT(GTX. etc) will be able to show us the magic Quote
Quake Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 And when it ends? I need to know till when we can submit scores Quote
Crew Don_Dan Posted December 8, 2010 Crew Posted December 8, 2010 Any chance you can add S775 to the competition as well? Pleeeeeeeease... Â And maybe make MemSet mandatory for this competition as well. Quote
Massman Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Good idea x 2! Â Based on this score, I've set the LGA775 memory limit to DDR3-2100. Therefor, I'm expecting 550FSB 1:2 runs (or maybe 660 5:6 haha). Â Will add memset/cpu-tweaker to limitation list! Quote

Only two combinations will work - 643Ñ…7 (1070 mem) and 562Ñ…8 (1125 mem). Or someone will try 692Ñ…6.5 with 5:8 divider? Quote

And there is another combination that will work, but currently I don't worry about maxing out the CPU max frequency too much, at first we have to get our memory up to speed. Quote
