Gumanoid Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Why nobody removes the top three results in Raspberry Pi HWBOT Prime? Quote
Massman Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 The system HWBOT Prime should now be removed. Drop a message or better yet, report the score, when new ones pop up. Why are we splitting HWBot Prime for Pi up into a per core score? There was no mention of this previously, so in essence you will need a single core to win this which is just stupid since prime doesn't scale well with cores..... Hm, we haven't changed the rules since the beginning of the competition. So it should be the same as when announced. Quote
TASOS Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 hwbot error , allows regular pc-system results to participate into raspberry pi category of team cup 2015. A minor remark. Legit hwbot prime submissions (in their category) , that falsely entered the raspberry-pi stage , should not be deleted ... but just only be removed from the contest. Quote
havli Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Is some anti-sandbagging system in place for SC4 or the stage is open for everyone to the end (September 30)? I'm planing my GPUPI run, so I need to be sure when the deadline is. Quote
trodas Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 I'm planing my GPUPI run, so I need to be sure when the deadline is. I would care more about witch hour of the 30.9. the end happens. I quess that submission made till 23:59 is okay, right? Quote
lanbonden Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 ohh the feeling when you to get home from a 5 days vacation to hear that the PSU sudenly fel in the floor so she had to turn it of and end that gpupi run that had been runing for 700h already.. guess its a huge coincidens that she was cleaning and moving things to my desk at the same time Quote
xxbassplayerxx Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 Yep... Rasparthe had 160h loops on his run and lost power while he was out of town Dear contest organizers - No more slow this and that, please. It's too frustrating! Quote

Rasparthe had 160h loops on his run and lost power while he was out of town Dear contest organizers - No more slow this and that, please. It's too frustrating! Agreed, low score is one thing, but dont do it in a benchmark that slowsdown from it! Quote
trodas Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 xxbassplayerxx - Dear contest organizers - No more slow this and that, please. It's too frustrating! Yes, it is. However that might be the point? I hope I get the Aquamarsk with score 2 score soon, it took me 4 days short of one month and no score is build yet for me. I can improve it to score 1, I believe, but that will took me month and half... ... Current progress: GPUPI v2.2 388h progress Quote
Spiedie Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Thats why you use a 10h battery life tablet Quote
trodas Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Another way could be a UPS... if it does react fast to prevent power drop and error in calculation... But luckily my power is steady and I only have the refresh bugses. The produced file was (hopefully will be again) valid and that is what counts. Quote
Spiedie Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 So, apparently 946h isn't 40 days but 25? Time travel! http://hwbot.org/submission/2979478 Quote

trodas Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 946h? Is not that too fast? You have in Batch 9 only 363h. I got 452h on Batch 9: 4 cores Atom it too fast, mate You should tried to disable some of them... Quote
Spiedie Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Only 1 core running and the rest idle, makes working with it a lot easier Quote
trodas Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Heheh, iddle cores? Nice. Still, good work! At least you did not have (aparently) the refresh bug that is clearing my informations from the screen... We see how far I will got it Quote
Rasparthe Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 You can thank Powerstream Inc here in Canada for killing my 20+ day run on Sep 3, and I had almost made it to Batch 4.... I mean you only have one job, keep the power on! Quote
trodas Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Most definitively I will thank them! Batch 3 and 195h time sounds rather incredible That should be a pretty long run, if it actually finished. Longest run I ever made yet is my Aquamark for score 2: http://hwbot.org/submission/2980283_ 3 days short to one month ))) Quote
Gumanoid Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Can we use raspberry pi2 board for 5 stage? Quote
Guest Punk Sods Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 No, Skylake is not allowed. Where please is these noted in the rules ? Greeting Heinrich Quote
Administrators websmile Posted September 21, 2015 Administrators Posted September 21, 2015 (edited) It is a standard rule that only hardware is allowed that is commercially available at start of a competition - Teamcup 2015 started at 15.07.2015, nda on Skylake fell at 05.08.2015, so imho skylake is not allowed on any stage of this years team cup. I will ask head of moderation, but for me the case is clear, no z170 at this years team cup Confirmaton on this, z170 is not allowed for any stage of teamcup due to being released after start of competition - please remove/replace your results with hardware that was retail before 15.07.2015 Edited September 21, 2015 by websmile Quote
Guest Punk Sods Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Thanks for your information . Since I have no way to make the results otherwise new, I'll delete it. Although the fault may lie with me , but the fun here at HWB is me now finally passed . I 'm going to find a different hobby . Thank you. Heinrich Quote
trodas Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Punk Sods - not to worry, there will be more competitions, where you can show the Skylake out And IMHO it is fair that this competition is not all about "pay to win." Sometimes you need patience to win See? Half the test is done and 526h passed Quote

This have nothing to do with "pay to win" I am not one of those people with lots of money and thereby create advantages . Rather the opposite , I have to sell my " old stuff " in order to buy something new . Therefore, I can because the lack of hardware not make the benchmarks again . Regardless, it 's enough for me . greeting Heinrich Quote
Administrators websmile Posted September 21, 2015 Administrators Posted September 21, 2015 Sorry to hear this, but this is not a new rule, it is valid for years now that only hardware commercially available at competition start is allowed for competitions. Sad to hear this causes problems for you now... Quote
