Algorithm sucks and needs fixing

Recommended Posts

It is a common issue that some benchmarks/scores go pointless (or lose points) out of nowhere.
2nd or 3rd time in a week that this happened and managed to spot it due to general ranking change.
To get them fixed I needed to spot them and click recalculation to get the points back.

Some examples that I noticed today:
Before:
http://prntscr.com/j62e9w

After:
http://prntscr.com/j62eh5

Before:

After:

Can we have something to get this fixed?
Like a metric that checks the top10 scores of each benchmark and compares with specific set targets?
ie. R15 1st place has to be above 150p. If not an automatic recalculation would take place.
Ideally there would be able to log the "last good state" points to have them as a baseline for this comparison.

When I try and do that with any of my scores it just "flashes" and doesn't even give me the please wait message or anything like that. Maybe my account is even more fracked up then I first thought.

if you think that a score has bugged points you hit recalculate and check it after 2-3 mins to see if it has changed.
No need to do it for all your scores if there is no actual reason.

I'm not trying to give the impression that somehow I'm spamming the recalculate button but rather explain that the button whether it is the one for my entire account or the one for individual benchmarks simply doesn't work. Normally, when you click on the one to recalculate an individual score you get a message saying something - anything - at least a hint of what is about to happen (ie. your next in the queue - one submission ahead of you" or "this is marco.is.not.80s best submission" or "whatever"). In my case (and it sounds like GTIJay above me) when I hit the button I can "press it" and "depress it" and it's like broken javascript link where you can click it until the cows come home but it isn't actually linked to anything.

Make sense? Sorry if I'm not expressing such a simple concept with words... I don't know... I'm tired.

I've never known of a button to recalculate individual scores, I've always just dropped ?recalculate=true at the end of the url and loaded that page.

Well, that worked! I can see now that the issue is that when I click on the button that is NOT added to the URL. So that's going to be a problem for sure. NIce, thanks!

@richba5tard
check this here:
http://hwbot.org/submission/3770796_rsannino_geekbench4___single_core_core_i7_8700k_9746_points/

Also my 3rd place score lost like 20-30 points without an actual change in rankings (doubt its just me)

Were changes made on how much points some benchmarks get?
There have been other drops without rank changes over the past 2 days.

Yeah gb4 seemed to lose points completely for a bit, and 32m seems to have been reset or something, the odd result in the rankings with correct global points.

Are these things that are manually being done for x reasons, or seemingly randomly happening? As one is definitely worse than the other haha.
