rtsurfer Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 Mega.. How much was the power consumption?? I see a KillAWatt in the background. Quote
Matsglobetrotter Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 now here is a serious processor contender Intel has to catch up with :-) Finally AMD is back in the real race for speed :-) Quote
Lucky_n00b Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 Power is over 1 kW at the wall during that 5.4Ghz 1.65v run. I wrote some small details here: http://oc.jagatreview.com/2018/08/ryzen-threadripper-2990wx-msi-x399-meg-creation-ln2-oc-cinebench-8000/ 1 Quote
George_o/c Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 Awesome score! Have you tried with win7? Quote
Lucky_n00b Posted August 14, 2018 Posted August 14, 2018 Installing win7 on X399 will need some BIOS adjustment, my version used in this score can't do that. There's another BIOS that's supposed to do that and I'm still trying it right now :) Quote
speed.fastest Posted August 14, 2018 Posted August 14, 2018 Good job! Its true installing X399 on Win7 need some adjustment even on X399. Quote

We have to ask the MB Vendor to do a platform enablement, and after it is supported, it's still a workaround with many bugs. That said, MSI already provide it and I will hopefully bench with that next time :) Â 4 hours ago, Sampson said: gg Noob.. waiting for your new score.... :-) Reminds me of the original TR launch! Are there no USB drivers for the MSI MEG Creation? Quote
