Do I have to install another XB bios first before xb4 patch one because it isn’t working for me with the 12700k it freezes on the aorus logo?

You can use the dual BIOS function for that.

Sorry haven`t tested it with another CPU`s, only with 12900k and 13900k/kf.

After flashing the bios, please press cmos. I`ve uploaded X4b Bios without patch, you can try it also.

Just for Info, Z790 Tachyon with 12900k and AVX512 works also great. 7400+ for Geek3 and 7400 for y-cruncher m-die on Air

@sergmann I tried my 13600K on Ln2 with your x4b bios, my cb was about -160c  I have ln2 still, is there anything you would like me to try settings/voltage wise to try move that cb

Managed 7.1Ghz R20 at -155c  Gutted this doesn't full pot

Also after BSOD all I get is Post code 54, just loops through a bunch of post codes and ends on 54 and never changes

 

GB3 always failed Dj, maybe need different volts cold?

You can try to flash bios with Q-Flash.

rename file like in manual in gigabyte.bin and put it on usb drive. Put usb drive in usb slot nearly of lab port and flash it. If it doesn’t work, try at first bios without AVX

Guys how do I prevent h.265 from downclocking?  Testing at 6Ghz, but various cores throughout the bench will downclock to 5Ghz

Set 6.1 and open x265, open GTL and set one multi down, after it run Benchmark. I hope you are not with watercooling, x265 need a lot of power and heating CPU really hard

Got the pot on and at -60c so easy for this chip

I gave that ago and it didn't work

Are your with 13th gen?

how are your settings for AVX in Bios?

I tried 150Mhz BCLK, ran 7350Mhz.  So at least we can do that for now

Please select in Bios AVX drop 0 and AVX512 drop to 1 and you can change everything in OS. It`s not necessary to do more. If you still have problems with drop, please let me know.

Flash latest official bios via q-flash, after it flash x4b via bios.

 

ps: which cpu do you use? Mems?

I haven’t tested it now with 12600/12700 or 13600 CPU’s but 12900k/13700k/13900kf/13900k are fine.
