Christian Ney Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 (edited) Actually the Validation Link is only mandatory for TOP20 Hall Of Fame of the whole ranking. As know as when the ''Number of cores'' filter is set to ''any'' when you browse the ranking. Should the validation link be mandatory also for the TOP 20 of each ranking ? For each ranking, it means for TOP20 1x GPU + TOP20 2x GPU + .... ~ at least 80 Validation Links are needed for the 3D/GPU ranking for exemple This is also applicable for the CPU ranking (PCMark). Christian Ney Posted July 1, 2011 Author Posted July 1, 2011 (edited) One can think that the bottleneck is that FM benchmarks are not free, that we have to pay to have unlimited storage online or offline score... Here is an easy way to have unlimited online storage of score at futuremark, exemple is for PCMark 7: When you submite the score online, an unique ID is created (see image bellow) then you validation link that you have to provide here for hwbot ranking will be: http://3dmark.com/(name of the benchmark)/(Write the ID here) For the exemple here, the validation link is : http://3dmark.com/pcm7/91109 This works for every FM benchmarks that are not discontinued Edited July 1, 2011 by Christian Ney Quote
Q56_Monster Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 I voted yes. But you say for cpu benches too....how do you get a validation for 2d benches other than cpuz? Quote
Kal-EL Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Probably not a popular comment but I think every submission should carry a validation. Quote

crustytheclown Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 voted for all top20 results... it seems better that way... Quote
Crew Vivi Posted July 3, 2011 Crew Posted July 3, 2011 Verification link for sure. If you get 1st place 1XGPU thats 160 points BOOM. Can't not need verification for that Quote
BenchZowner Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Probably not a popular comment but I think every submission should carry a validation. Bingo! If the benchmark has a validation system, then every result should carry a validation. Purchasing the benchmarks is a blah blah blah answer, because 50$ is just a mere quantity of what people spend on hardware each year. Quote
knopflerbruce Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Is it possible to have infinite public results with all FM benches, using the advanced keys? Quote
T_M Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 I trust that it would only be implemented for new results being posted? Quote
K404 Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Voted for all top 20s. The other option doesn't make sense, it would leave all the single and 2-way 3D (for example) world records under-verified and there's more results in those categories Quote
joe90br Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Probably not a popular comment but I think every submission should carry a validation. I think the same...Is it possible??? Quote
knopflerbruce Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 BUMP! Agree that this should be a requirement. Quote
