September 4, 201212 yr Bug with latest cpuz, changed fsb with clockgen but didnt update it in cpuz. 1.58 still works... Interesting. It works for me.
September 4, 201212 yr Author Hum, can you send me two report.txt file at christian [at] hwbot.org, one before changing bus and one after changing bus ? (please include freqeuncy what it is and waht it should be in the email)
September 4, 201212 yr On A8N-SLI ? Negative. DFI Ultra D. I would be very surprised if the type of board made a difference.
September 22, 201212 yr testing stuff... cpuz worked fine http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2518955  2hrs later same board with a different chip (pent 4 540) cpuz rejects and says must update. updated... and i see they added some useless anti virus stuff to the install... now in winders, bus and fsb jumps all around... and using set fsb, cpuz doesn't change, just sits still and jumps around....  1.61.5x32 - not working 1.61.3x32 - working  now after reinstalling 1.61.3x32 and trying to validate, it works again, but an hr ago, trying to validate it said i need to update.  http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2519026  so, i guess don;t use 1.61.5 then eh? Â
September 23, 201212 yr Crew I have exactly the same issue with 1.61.5. With fresh XP install everything is fine. After changing cpu, cpu-z goes wild. Im currently on an nforce2 mobo.

October 26, 201212 yr Author Glad it's fixed now  Hopefully we managed to fix everything  won't be able to do cpuz debug for the next 3 months but after that I will be in my new flat which will have a room dedicated for benching/OC and there will be plenty of systems ready plug&run for cpuz debug.
October 27, 201212 yr Crew Forget to say, used cpuz 1.61.8 beta from October 24. Nice Christian, hope that cpuz improves further!
December 11, 201212 yr The current version of cpuz needs an update for Sandy Bridge G645 CPU.  It reports the cpu as G850.   Very similar cpu's though. December 11, 201212 yr Author The current version of cpuz needs an update for Sandy Bridge G645 CPU. It reports the cpu as G850.   Very similar cpu's though.  G645 http://ark.intel.com/products/69116/Intel-Pentium-Processor-G645-3M-Cache-2_90-GHz  G850 http://ark.intel.com/products/53491/Intel-Pentium-Processor-G850-%283M-Cache-2_90-GHz%29  If someone has direct access to cpuz dev.team , pass the info.  Done, can you send me the report.txt file to christian[at]hwbot.org  Hey all, As you all know, sometimes CPU-Z validations are invalidated even though the result is perfectly valid (eg: stock config). Although Franck, the developer of CPU-Z, doesn't owe it to anyone to fix his (free) software, he always seems keen to improve the validation process. All he needs is a bit of correct feedback!  So, when you encounter issues with CPU-Z, be it the application or the validation page, please save a TXT report. Franck cannot improve the software based on a .CVF validation, he absolutely needs the TXT .  You can find it under the about tab:   Once you have the .txt report, mail it (+ an explanation of the issue) to cpuz@cpuid.com  :ws:
December 11, 201212 yr Done, can you send me the report.txt file to christian[at]hwbot.org  ok I'll do it in the afternoon

March 10, 201312 yr Author Yeah, same here, it's very often that the first time I open CPU-Z I have this error but then I open it a second time and it's all fine.
March 19, 201312 yr Happens if it doesnt get exclusive access. Bit annoying  Extremely annoying... been happening for a long time.
