XtremeCuztoms Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 testing stuff... cpuz worked fine http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2518955  2hrs later same board with a different chip (pent 4 540) cpuz rejects and says must update. updated... and i see they added some useless anti virus stuff to the install... now in winders, bus and fsb jumps all around... and using set fsb, cpuz doesn't change, just sits still and jumps around....  1.61.5x32 - not working 1.61.3x32 - working  now after reinstalling 1.61.3x32 and trying to validate, it works again, but an hr ago, trying to validate it said i need to update.  http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2519026  so, i guess don;t use 1.61.5 then eh?  Quote

Christian Ney Posted October 26, 2012 Author Posted October 26, 2012 Glad it's fixed now  Hopefully we managed to fix everything  won't be able to do cpuz debug for the next 3 months but after that I will be in my new flat which will have a room dedicated for benching/OC and there will be plenty of systems ready plug&run for cpuz debug. Crew Strunkenbold Posted October 27, 2012 Crew Posted October 27, 2012 Forget to say, used cpuz 1.61.8 beta from October 24. Nice Christian, hope that cpuz improves further! Quote
TASOS Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 (edited) The current version of cpuz needs an update for Sandy Bridge G645 CPU.  It reports the cpu as G850.   Very similar cpu's though. Although Franck, the developer of CPU-Z, doesn't owe it to anyone to fix his (free) software, he always seems keen to improve the validation process. All he needs is a bit of correct feedback!  So, when you encounter issues with CPU-Z, be it the application or the validation page, please save a TXT report. Franck cannot improve the software based on a .CVF validation, he absolutely needs the TXT .  You can find it under the about tab:   Once you have the .txt report, mail it (+ an explanation of the issue) to cpuz@cpuid.com  :ws: Quote
TASOS Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Done, can you send me the report.txt file to christian[at]hwbot.org  ok I'll do it in the afternoon Quote
