Johni5 Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 I do not understand the rule. 10 Stage 1 GPU core but full out? Quote
I.nfraR.ed Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 From the subcompetition page: The third stage of the Team Cup revolves around the CPU-bound 3D benchmark 3DMark Vantage Performance. For this sub-competition, which has one stage for Intel and AMD per year, you can use as much graphic card horsepower as you can find - the only limitation is the CPU platform to be used. There are no limitations on the amount of CPUs that can be used: if you manage to find a platform that can run 42 CPUs, it's allowed! Quote
Johni5 Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Ohhh yes!Start page error http://hwbot.org/competition/team_cup_2013_sc3/ Quote
FqqTBawL Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 VALIDATION REQUIREMENTS Use 1 videocard core(s) in total. But scores posted with 3x680 etc. Is it 1 gpu or unlimited gpu's?? Quote
Massman Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Ah, yeah. Copied the rules from the 3DMark03 sub-competition, but forgot to take out the 1xGPU requirement. Updated the competition front page, it should be correct now. The stage limitations were always correct, luckily. Thanks for the heads up! Good luck to all! Quote
Xtreme Addict Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 How about upcomming GPUs like Titan, will they be legit for Vantage teamcup? or only hardware which was available during the start of the competition Quote
GENiEBEN Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 How about upcomming GPUs like Titan, will they be legit for Vantage teamcup? or only hardware which was available during the start of the competition Like all previous contests, hardware available before the stage start and no ES. Quote
Massman Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Titan will not be allowed during the team cup. It didn't launch in 2012 ... Quote
placid Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Why still a lot of 3DM Vantage submissions using GPU PhysX enable are not deleted, is the rule has been change n I don't know? Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted February 3, 2013 Crew Posted February 3, 2013 Because the updated versions of Vantage don't use the GPU Physx for the CPU score. If you look at the CPU scores most of them should be fine... Quote
GENiEBEN Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Why still a lot of 3DM Vantage submissions using GPU PhysX enable are not deleted, is the rule has been change n I don't know? Vantage 1.1.0 has PPU disabled by default even if you have it enabled in Nvidia Control Panel. Just compare the CPU score with others if you're not sure about its veridicity. Quote
placid Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Leeghoofd, GENiEBEN : Ok thx, I forget to upgrade my Vantage and get 80.xxx CPU Score with GPU PhysX enable only with Ivy @ 4GHz Quote
jiccman1965 Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 I do not see a link for the back ground Quote
GENiEBEN Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 I do not see a link for the back ground http://i.imgur.com/XPidgxL.jpg It's on every stage page. Quote
mr.paco Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Tyred making a submission in Vantage SC#5: 2006: Brisbane (G1), Egypt, Italy, Orleans (F2), Windsor, Santa Ana (F2), Santa Rosa (F2) With an Italy F2 cpu but got the " your submission is incorrect " As you can see it (Italy core) is listed in the header but below in the yellow field it is not . Same for Egypt. Quote
Devroush Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 I THINK you're right but, well, I'm no expert . I'll check with PJ and let you know if it get's added. Quote
Dead Things Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 (edited) Polite request: Can Xeon E5645 be added to Stage 8? It's the only hexcore Westmere-EP Xeon from 2010 not on the list. Launch price was consistent with that of the i7 970, making it equally "high-end." Thanks for your consideration! edit - And to Stage 11 of the SPi 1M comp / Stage 6 of the 3DM03 comp?
