sskmercer Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Hey Bullant, i finally got around to installing the 4770k this morning. I've only put 1.148 through it so far and boots into XP/WIN 7 @4.3 and runs 32M nicely. Temps are a bit highish as i'm only using the stock HSF and have a funny feeling it's not seated the best. Where as my first 4770k i had to go to and past 1.3v just to boot @4.3 let alone running anything. Going to reseat HSF late today and see if temps improve or hopefully WC gear turns up. So much more potential then my other one. This one got cooked from i believe was possibly bad install on my part (still learning here) although was exchanged no problems and got the same exact batch number. Also my WC gear has turned up and installed a few hours ago and leak testing tomorrow. Then i'm running my little 4340 just to test it out as it's my first go at WC. Once i'm good with that and then the real fun begins and hope i get a nice GEM like Bullants did from teh same batch. Quote

Splave Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 seems nice to me! can volts stay so low when you raise mem and cache? what is cooler? seems to run very cool is only concern, I think hot chips scaling more. LN2 time man! Quote

LN2 time man! will try a little It is water cooling not mounted, I've just put waterblock on cpu and pressed it plate for socket 775 from TT Big Thyphoon Quote

MaJ0r Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Work fine with 5000MHz cache on air and high memory frequency Didn't tried to set 1.187V for SuperPi 32, just set 1.2V and found cache voltage(1.325V). Quote
sskmercer Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 Very nice MaJ0r. Hope it scales well for you mate if you go COLD. Quote

suzuki Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 (edited) k,i had some time to test the cpu,all the test were made with 2 vents ,one of 3000 rpm and the other one of 1200 on prolimatech Genesis at 25 degrees room temperature.. Ring/cache needs 1.165v for 4900 . The cpu works like this on Gene VI : Boot : 4.5 at 1.05 v 5.0 at 1.21 v 5.1 at 1.27 v 5.2 at 1.35 v 3d : 4.5 at 1.07 v 5.0 at 1.24 v Edited October 22, 2013 by suzuki 1 Quote
MaJ0r Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Tested my best 4670k. I've had a lot of problems with my two OS so didn't make any good results, just checked some ideas. Validation http://valid.canardpc.com/f3tgdj also SuperPi 32 doable at 6500MHz Quote
MaJ0r Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 congrats man, CB ? -122 -125C, tested two cpu from this batch and both had the same CB. I used Extech thermometer, it shows in LN2 - 191C, so mb CB is little bit higher but it is just my guess Quote
