http://hwbot.org/submission/2414656_gavbon_superpi___1m_core_i7_4770k_6sec_428ms

5.6GHz 1.65v Super 4c 8t SUPERPI 1M

Did reach 5.8GHz but motherboard died lol

also does 4.8GHz @ 1.34v Cinebench 11.5 stable 4c 8t

Is it a good chip?

look for lowest possible voltage needed for 5ghz superpi 32m at ambient cooling.

these numbers are not comparable.

Hey Bullant, i finally got around to installing the 4770k this morning. I've only put 1.148 through it so far and boots into XP/WIN 7 @4.3 and runs 32M nicely. Temps are a bit highish as i'm only using the stock HSF and have a funny feeling it's not seated the best.

Where as my first 4770k i had to go to and past 1.3v just to boot @4.3 let alone running anything. Going to reseat HSF late today and see if temps improve or hopefully WC gear turns up. So much more potential then my other one.

This one got cooked from i believe was possibly bad install on my part (still learning here) although was exchanged no problems and got the same exact batch number.

Also my WC gear has turned up and installed a few hours ago and leak testing tomorrow. Then i'm running my little 4340 just to test it out as it's my first go at WC. Once i'm good with that and then the real fun begins and hope i get a nice GEM like Bullants did from teh same batch.

seems nice to me!

can volts stay so low when you raise mem and cache?

what is cooler? seems to run very cool is only concern, I think hot chips scaling more.

LN2 time man!

will try a little

It is water cooling not mounted, I've just put waterblock on cpu and pressed it plate for socket 775 from TT Big Thyphoon

k,i had some time to test the cpu,all the test were made with 2 vents ,one of 3000 rpm and the other one of 1200 on prolimatech Genesis at 25 degrees room temperature..

Ring/cache needs 1.165v for 4900 .

The cpu works like this on Gene VI :

Boot :

4.5 at 1.05 v

5.0 at 1.21 v

5.1 at 1.27 v

5.2 at 1.35 v

3d :

4.5 at 1.07 v

5.0 at 1.24 v
