Might as well have a thread for these too.

Any early good batches?

Big thanks to Doug2507 for building the batch list!!

  • ^Very nice XA   4820K was a no go for 3000 c9 32M even though it has no issues booting those frequencies/timings.

  • can't wait to see who gets the 1.25v 5ghz chip ^^

You know PJ, I don't have one to test anymore, but I think a lot of it is the improved IMC from the Ivy architecture. Just think of the difference from Sandy to Ivy memory clock wise.   Regardless e

Hard to tell if it's good or not yet, but 4960X @ 4.7GHz benchable @ 1.35v. Watercooled.

Also have some other cpu's.

Summary:

i7 4960X(ES, QF7Z) @ 4.7GHz cinebench @ 1.35v

Batch: 3321A576

i7 4960X(ES, QF7Z) @ 4.5GHz cinebench @ 1.4v

Batch: 3320A573

i7 4930K(ES) @ 4.6GHz cinebench @ 1.4v

Batch: 3320A829

i7 4930K(Retail) @ 4.6GHz cinebench @ 1.4v

Batch: 3328A983

i7 4820K(Retail) @ 4.9GHz cinebench @ 1.5v

Batch: 3325A984

Correct. I expected some ES samples to be posted tho. I already got my retail, as you could see. Some webshop accidently put the 4930K online at the day of the media NDA date and I ordered. Next day they send out a mail to everyone who ordered to tell they wouldn't send out untill today. Luckily I know the owner :P

from today sales are allowed not ?

Yep! Newegg has the 4930K for $580 & 4960X for $1050.

My 4960X ES (QF7Z) gets 4.6GHz stable at 1.4V loaded. I can't get it to boot or really even run benches at 4.8 GHz at up to 1.5V. I did manage a 5GHz validation once (for just long enough to hit F7 before it crashed). Anybody had better results than this on water? I feel like it's low, but maybe these just need extreme temperatures to do much of anything?

As you can see in my list of what I have tested this is about right.

Yes, especially because the IHS is soldered. At least on air. No clue about LN2.

Yes, I think the same thing...;) At least 4930K it's a good clocker...If my 4770K L310B490 don't scale I will try 4820K...

The 4820K I tested is retail and it did Cinebench at 4.9Hz, so yeah, they're pretty good.

Not bad...Can you try with LN2 ?

I might later.

i7 4960X(ES, QF7Z) @ 4.7GHz cinebench @ 1.35v Water

Batch: 3321A576

5750MHz 3DMark vantage @ 1.7v LN2, CB -150 :(

i7 4930K(Retail) @ 4.6GHz cinebench @ 1.4v water

Batch: 3328A983

5650MHz 3DMark vantage @ 1.7v LN2, no CB. Might make it to 5700 since my board burned down :P

Nice. Only made it to 3200 on air. Couldn't surpass the gap from 3200 to 3555. Need another divider:P

1 small correction, the last 4930k is retail. The one that does 5650 ln2. So is the 4820k.
