Massman Posted October 22, 2013 Author Posted October 22, 2013 Send the image to pieter@hwbot.org. I will fix the existing submission (so it falls within the competition week2 time). Quote
der8auer Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 That should be the correct one: http://hwbot.org/submission/2441340_8_pack_superpi___32m_core_i7_4770k_4min_44sec_94ms Quote

matose Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 So after all the 2666c11 with MFR are allowed or not because I didn't catch it? Quote
8 Pack Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 I dont think so Splave was discussing it. Quote
marmott Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 I think the rules are pretty clear: Concerning Prohibition of Specific Memory SKUs DDR3-2544, DDR3-2800 and DDR3-2666 MFR based HyperX memory modules are not allowed as they are not commercially available products. In the case DDR3-2666 MFR based HyperX memory modules become commercially available during the course of the competition, they would still not be allowed to avoid any unfair advantage. Quote
marmott Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 These are KVR16N11S8/4 so 1600MHz C11 1.5V 4GB modules with Hynix MFR on. Quote
TaPaKaH Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 I guess the only basis on which MFR valuerams would be allowed is them having a decent enough availability for a long enough period of time, otherwise we're in the same situation as with MFR 2666C11. Quote
Massman Posted October 23, 2013 Author Posted October 23, 2013 Mailed you to fix original submission Massman. Thanks, all fixed! Quote
Crew Vivi Posted October 23, 2013 Crew Posted October 23, 2013 Dont want to be a party pooper! But alot of results arent following the strict photo rules. I think alot of it is language barrier because there is alot to read. Maybe we must tell them before they are upset when their hard worked on score gets removed Quote
Splave Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 I just pm them friendly reminder (yes bored at work today) Quote
Massman Posted October 24, 2013 Author Posted October 24, 2013 Hey all, Just to give a quick update on the Hynix MFR situation. Kingston and HWBOT just finished a conference call to discuss this problem, and the decision is to not allow any Hynix MFR for this competition. The goal of this competition is to make things fair for all participants. An official rule amendment will follow later this/next week. This is just a heads-up to prevent anyone from wasting time on MFR. Quote
