  4. It's true, a very rare videocard for our team (and not only for our team...) Please, let's change the stage so that there are more results and more struggle

  5. We need to reconsider nvidia stage4, it will be not an easy task to find sutiable working cards for such stage. Lets' change to GTX1000 series (except 1080Ti) for more fun.

  6. Nice, it was getting boring on top. So what should be next 5775c with ln2 PSC or 7600k + whatever ram runs on shitty D3 mobo?

  7. How about some LN2 PSC in 2024?

  9. There you go. Took it from here: https://soggi.org/motherboards/asrock.htm 775Dual-VSTA_3.19a (Beta).rom Edit: You might need the ASRock Flash utility in DOS to flash this. Just download the DOS Version of any of these BIOSes: https://www.asrock.com/mb/via/775dual-vsta/#BIOS - the flasher is bundled with them. I received a 775 DUAL VSTA today and it's working, but it's not behaving with OC. If I only up the FSB from 200 to 210 with an E4500, it's already getting unstable. I will try fiddling with the mem settings but I remember why OCing these boards with FSB was a time-intensive and frustrating endeavor. Luckily, there are some great starting points in this thread.

  11. as you said you have been playing with socket A since it was new can you explain exactly what the L12 mod is (from what I am reading it should unlock locked multi chips) but I can not find exactly what it is and some places are even saying it would help my XP-m. if it is just to unlock that would be good as I have a few other barton and thoroughbred non mobile chips I would love to try and push. I was still in diapers when socket A was replaced so trying to find this stuff out can be a bit like an archaeologist trying to figure out what some thing is when all the writings from the day do not explain it as everyone just knew what it was

  12. As I have been wanting to venture into the depths of XOC, I made my own budget container from various hardware stores and by modeling my own mounting plate. I will be updating the socket mount to universal use but all I have is 775,115x & 1366 for now. I have all the CAD files if needed and if you are interested, they are just a DM away. Hardware usage: The main vessel used in this was found at Walmart and can be commonly found as a โ€œMule Mugโ€. I picked this mainly as I have been eyeing them at local stores for a while and when they were used for the US Country Cup Meet earlier last year. One of the only completely flat bottom vessels which have an adequate amount of surface area to contact your CPU of choice. As I wanted this project to be as reasonably cheap as possible, I used #8-32 threaded rod and cut into 7in (178mm) segments and wire wheeled 3in (76mm) on one side to fit through motherboard mounting holes. All rods are held from the back using nylon locking nuts with the various other hardware is shown using #8 thread size. Washers are used whenever possible but the total amount will be reduced when the backplate is made. The handle was cut but can also be pulled off when the adhesive is loosened. Insulation of the container does a good job on the sides but the bottom curve needs to be covered unless a lot of frost will build. I used PLA for my mount but a more resistant filament is better for rigidity and for safety concerns as I used the PLA mount for a limited amount of time. Afterthoughts: As this will be used for benchmarking, more โ€œthermal massโ€ is needed as it will experience spikes of heat at certain intervals. Due to the minimal amount of direct metal incorporated, Taking the copper slugs from Intel/OEM stock coolers and stacking them will benefit overall use which is highly recommended. I stacked a few copper slugs and placed as many copper fins as I could and keeping some space for pouring DICE inside. Soldering copper wherever possible will be considered but there will be limits to an $8 cup. Any comments or suggestions are appreciated. Pricing: USD [ Home Depot ] Threaded Rod - $4 Nylon Lock Nuts - $1.30 Spring Assortment: $5.50 #8 Flat Washers - $1.30 #8-32 Wing Nut - $1.30 3D Printed Mount - $5 [ Walmart ] Bar340 20oz Mule Mug - $8.40 Shop Towel (1) - $3 Isopropyl 97% 32oz - $3 / Acetone 1gal - $20 ~$35 Total for main supplies

  13. the CPU might be able to but my cooler is where things get questionable as I have as early vapochill from 2000 that still has R134A in it so is only rated at 120watts, I have swapped out the original slow speed 120by38mm fan with a 4300RPM server fan so that might buy me another 10 or 20 watts. the fastest I have got windows to boot at was 2.73Ghz into safe mode (was trying to get a good time in super pi and safe mode helps on this old CPU) but just to boot was 1.9V and it was still not able to even do a 1m run so I would have to raise the voltage upto likely 1.95V (don't think 1.925 would cut it) and at that point I might push the cooler out of equilibrium and loose regulataion

  16. Air these can run 2750c8 tuco tight at 1.92v > to 2800c6 tight on LN2 at 2.15v The best PSC in my collection I believe is still the 2000c6 Pi but will find out soon

  17. These sticks never ran 2800 before but I remember they had a low boot voltage limit so even 2.20v failed to train. Setting 2.15v they trained super consistently at 2800 but failed to train 2933 and didn't spend much time trying higher after that. How about 7600K + LN2 PSC + D3 mobo ๐Ÿ˜Ž The best yearsโ„ข๏ธ

  22. New XOC bios versions works fine with new CPUโ€™s 13th/14th gen. Havenโ€™t tested it on z690 Tachy but my experience is, bios versions are identical. x7p works fine but not with 12th gen CPUโ€™s especially with 12600. With 12900k/kf you can start each board. If you have another 12th gen CPU which can start without any problems, start board with it, select microcode 0x15 save settings, restart system, power it then off and replace CPU without CMOS. After it you should be able to start with 12600l/kf. Regarding AVX512 and 12600k, it works only without e-cores, so donโ€™t wonder if you donโ€™t have avx512 if e-cores are active
