All I can say to those guys is bring it..... I'd seriously doubt any of them could beat the majority here with the same card and setup anyway. As we say about American football when we use the term "Armchair Quarterback" - Easy to criticize things, plays called and so on watching the game but if IN the game, they'd fail gloriously.

I'll say it like this. Every competitor knows or at least should know what they are getting into here. It's not like a certain few have to deal with it, we all do. I will also say in-house benchers DO have an advantage, no question about that and skill is required to get the best scores along with luck being on your side. They do get pieces that's already been tested (Binned) in most cases, in some cases the pieces are not binned but they still have manufacturer support behind them - I mean the house guys ARE right there where they are made right? When speaking of skill, that is very important and makes a large difference for squeezing the most from a chip, binned or otherwise but there is also the flip-side of this concerning a piece being a D.O.G. of a piece of hardware - No skills you'd have will ever overcome that issue. The likelyhood of the average "Joe" having a dog is clearly there, for the house guys probrably not and that's just how it is. The other-other side of that coin is every so often a freak piece will appear in the retail pipe and it's the "Joe" that gets it instead. Been there, done that with mine and by now everyone knows I've had a few freaks here of my own - In fact I've still got a few now. In the end, although the house guys DO have an inherent advantage it's still no guarantee of anything which is why it doesn't matter to me. You wanna play, it's a big sandbox and expect some of the kids in it to be bigger than others. Either that or go home.

Nice chip! -
I'll be blunt..... Sounds like someone (Or a few someone's) are being taken for a ride and guess who bailed from behind the drivers seat with all the cash and keys to the ride too. ? I do hope I'm wrong here but that's what it sounds like to me ATM. If they paid for it they should have full access - Period and if not AND they agreed to it, then it's their loss and it's all on them.

The official HWBot Team Cup 2020 3dmark99 thread.

You cannot outfail me in 3D...... Don't even try....... ? -
The site is reminding me how it was acting back when the site was being hijacked into mining bitcoin. Really slow with errors (504's for now) popping up. I also noticed in one section content that had been deleted from the main thread in the forum itself is still visible in general. The thread it's in doesn't show it but the section in the comp does and it's spam about gambling. HWBot Team Cup 2020 SuperPi 32M @ HWBOT And we are getting closer to that time of year anyway (Spam-Fest: Coming direct to you for the Christmas shopping season of 2020!!!!).

Class act all the way, was very helpful and didn't mind going out of his way if you needed something. I'm glad I was able to meet him in person at least once - And hopefully will do so again soon! -
Have to agree - AM3+ doesn't have the RTC issues AM4 does.
-
I'm too late with the idea but today I had thought about a PI stage involving Zambezi only for AM3+, no Vishera's allowed. 1M, 32M, or whatever, it seems like a good one but that's already been setup - Or has it?
-
I forgot about that part of it. Just shows how much 3D I do..... Which is none. ?

They can without issue, they probrably woudn't score as high as a DX9 card but they can run it.
