  1. I got one of these Thuban based quadcores, and it can only use 5 cores (6th gives BSOD during boot). Is it possible to add this as an option when submitting scores? I don't like to type unlock to 6x when it only runs 5 cores... I know I know, easy cups for me, but still:p
  2. Erm, to disallow subs for weeks shouldn't be an option. Still we have to deal with existing submissions - my suggestion is to disallow this for the 7xxx series and up, assuming we can verify the tesselation level without clicking the orb link.
  3. But... the latency of diabolo's score is .2s slower, which seems correct. The bugs are just too hard to spot - we've had situations where we're talking about like 0.4ns - too little to be sure if you ask me. Removing the latency, and have like a combined score of the other 3 tests is an option, but a good solution? I dunno.
  4. When I look for AMD Athlon II 245, I type "245" in the search field, and a few options show up. But two of the model I'm looking for - both send me to the same CPU.
  5. It's obvious that joe is the "thief" here, his scores are always newer than the ones of rbuass. Joe will get a ban - obviously, how long depends on the number of screens stolen. It's not a problem to have both fabi and rbuass here, but they must figure out a system so they don't mix screenshots. Pink background could work:p
  6. I wonder if the dropdown box should be mandatory too, but atm it's not. However, if a score looks bugged and it's not possible to tell if it's multi gpu or single, then it will be taken down.
  7. They're also cheaper, you can buy 3 2600k's at the price of 1 990x. but 3, and you'll get at least an average chip.n If the x79 chips have similar behavior, then we have a problem. But, who knows - what if SB-E clocks like shit? We don't know yet. Seen a few 3.3ghz parts, so definately no huge clock improvement on air - that's pretty clear.
  8. If you want a difficult platform, try the SR2. This complaining is ridiculous:D "the platform isn't bitchy enough for us overclockers"
  9. I meant the FTW Not my fault it has the same type of layout as the P55 classy:p
  10. The classified arrived late, so it's not fair to compare # of results vs boards that have been available everywhere for like a year.
  11. Haha... AMD FANBOY!!!!! I need to catch Karl in the # of CPU mudels ranking... maybe i can post stock cpuz validations of my 478 chips
  12. Yikes, i'm like wearing diapers compared to you guys - 4 1/2 years:D
  13. That's why these competitions are so great, it's not the same, boring HW all the time - but more exotic and unusual parts:)
  14. I didn't realize you thought about that when I quoted your post. The only way to actually get away with this is to use gear from the time the submission was made in the first place, if the score is from 2007 and you update it with a gulftown screenshot, it WILL be blocked if there are no subtests:p It should be possible to add some code that makes all pre-2008 scores uneditable... but then we need coding power, which we don't have atm:p
  15. CHEAT is a strong word in this case, unless you found a way to actually do it by editing an old score and get away with it (stealth mode isn't cheating no matter how you look at it). A good reason to allow editing: typos, if people can't edit their own subs, then WE have to do it instead => less time for more important things related to HWBot. A better solution to your problem would be to revive the old notifications. Then you can see if a score is beaten even if some sub is updated with a new score.
  16. oh noes, hope he gets a nice funeral. You should contact Christian Ney, he's the HWBot undertaker:D
  17. No, but why edit a 3 year old score? We can see if someone edited it, who did it, but not what was changed.
  18. That would've been a valid point, but it's possible to check if the score was modified
  19. Even though I feel backups are a part of this game, new results should be published on the frontpage - agree with you guys
