Looks like a little dedicated(and pretty much totally unnecessary in most cases) PSU for your RAM. With some built-in volt mods and a digital voltmeter.

In other words...nothing...that can't be accomplished without it.

You seem to have a very solid opinion for something that you havent actually seen or even touch ... and also dont have a clue what exactly it is , how it works , what it adjusts ... and so on.

It's like someone comes here after a decade and writes that current "epower devices are totally unnecessary in most cases"

    ?

And i also have all adapter variants (ddr-ddr2-ddr3)

Great device and very overclocking friendly ... it was a must have back then !!!

    :)

2x256mb Infineon "6A", Voltage 3.44V. These are probably relabeled Winbond Chips, that's why it scales that good. The Chips on the Sticks are HYB25D256809AT-6, the "AT-6" is important. You'll notice that these Infineon got the typical two round circles in the plastic, just like Winbond BH-5. My sticks scale past 260Mhz at 3.6V.  Bonus: You can get 256mb and 512mb Sticks for <10 bucks in germany... :D

Here's a pic of the chips:

I'm currently limited by cooling, voltage and FSB. The A7N8X just hits a wall at 248Mhz and becomes quite unstable above it. I was rather lucky to complete this 1M run...

    These are known chips.

Back in the day ... they were commonly used in Kingston Value Ram KVR333X64C25

... and they are Winbond BH-6

    WR?

It looks stupid and pointless, when i enter from Pentium 4 3.4Ghz >3dmark05 i see a stranger therefore, i'm doing a report for true sub , in return I get a lot request and idiot`s answers. On guess about the dates, which is 5.05.12 for aquamark and cpu i`m also did not receive an answer, e.g.: https://hwbot.org/submission/1022709 w/ another link, but date old!

Unfortunately, with the advent of the new mail, I do not have emails from CN and nothing know about the dates!

And so here are 4 pages of stupid remarks that are corrected. It`s uncool.

    You are a masterpiece

    The one and only.

    ㊗️

    P.S.

If that famous "red button" really exists ... can somebody please press it :D

    I believe it's an emergency ?

  7. #68: 4x256MB Kingston HyperX 3200. Asking 20 Euros + shipping
Two individual sets, based on Winbond BH5.
    Set #1 does 32M at 250 2-2-2-5 at 3.23V and 260 2-2-2-5 at 3.41V.
    Set #2 does 32M at 250 2-2-2-5 at 3.23V, 260 2-2-2-5 at 3.41V and 270 2-2-2-5 at 3.62V.

    #63: 2x1GB Crucial Ballistix Tracer 8500. Asking 10 Euros + shipping
One module (the one missing a clip) is DOA. Never booted at any settings and voltage up to 2.3V. The second works fine and does 32M at 540 4-4-4 2.18V and 635 5-5-5 2.08V.

    I'll take them

Fairly certain the 2-3-2-6 sticks were CH-5 from memory but I could be wrong on that. So not far off.

    True.

    XMS3205 V1.2 are CH5

I think I had some TCCD XMS modules somewhere, if I can find them i'll let you know.

EDIT: Oh wow, these apparently are BH5:

    mEURM7I.jpg

No idea if they work however, I have no DDR system to test them.

    These are not BH5.

  10. I agree with the comments above.

Keep in mind that the quality of the cpu for socket 939 is crucial.

Also you have to test if a cpu with 512kb cache (instead of 1mb) is better for your memory testing.

An other aspect is the bios that you will use , to have the proper memory table for BH5 or TCCD.

    Dear OCers and admins.

    @Leeghoofd

I did participate in challengers knowing that HWINFO64 will show precise frequency and part of my scores were having .4Mhz or even .8Mhz where for example 5203 was expected.

As you may know hwmonitor is showing only full MHz. Thus even when you have 5203,9 in hwinfo64 you will have hwmonitor at 5203.

    Most of participants used hwmonitor.

    ............................

The mods removed results with much lower variation over the limit (even at 0.1) ... ( if that fact makes you feel better).

    Your 0.8 and 0.9 seems big :)

But you are right about the software issue.

The smart guys used the software that didnt show the decimal part and actually got away with it. ?
