  1. I dont want to make this about me, I should never have opened my mouth, I just get a little frustrated sometimes. I worked on that sub for months and binned like 8 cards, killed probably about 4 cards/1 epower learning how to solder, binned cpu's, tweaked LOD forever and I actually had a higher shader clocks and the 3024mhz shader clock I had in 06 is the highest I can find anywhere. So it's a little annoying when someone just says "Great Achievement but it's because of skylake" My cpu was also 1.5ghz less. Anyway lets get back on track, I try never to post negatively but sometimes it's hard to hold back.
  2. but meanwhile you have no problem belittling my result for your argument. And it's so funny that you said what you said because you are ahead of people in top 10 with lower gpu clocks, so I guess your score is because of skylake also.
  3. really amazing score, great cards. Man I felt how hard it was to bench 1, I can't imagine 4.
  4. man people love subtly taking shots at people around here.
  5. oh man sorry to hear that. I did the same thing when those original mfr g-skill sticks came out. I think I spent like $550 on a quad kit of 3300mhz, but mfr scales really nicely on cold, with 4 dimms I can get to 3733 cl12, so these could still be really nice, glws.
  6. im not just dreaming, someone mentioned grouping lower end gpus into categories which would give more hardware points and also I don't see why if we enabled global points for firestrike ultra why it couldn't be based on just gpu score which would even out 6700k's and 5960x's, I know the benchmark itself does this on it's own by being very gpu dependent but it's something worth talking about.
  7. I wonder if those predator sticks are afr, if so it would be a nice price. If they are I would definitely grab them now, do you know how long ago you bought them? Are you taking a break from benching or are you back now.
  8. oh ya that's weird, wonder how that happened, I really wish it was right but 5hrs of trying says no.
  9. we all understand the reason, we are having a discussion about trying to even it out a bit to make 3d a little more enticing, with the current system you sometimes are swayed a little more towards 2d because it seems to offer more points for less money, again I understand the reason why but that doesn't mean we can't discuss it. I came into hwbot only doing 3d at first, my first ln2 session I froze a gpu and had my cpu on water, but lately I have been benching more 2d because I can get more points for my money. it would be nice if we could figure out a way to make 3d more like that. So hopefully that helps clear it up a bit for you. It would be really nice if we could figure out a way to make cheaper gpus worth more points but it seems hard, or to be able to compete on just gpu score to take away the need of an expensive cpu to compete in gpu rankings.
  10. Actually for me a lot of things have worked. So far I have tried bclk, cpu ratio and cpu vcore, and the slow mode and retry all works plus the start button. I haven't tried anything else so I can't confirm, I think it had rve firmware on it also yes my turbov works at same time. The only reason I even tried is because the one that came with my m8e was working funny at first but for some reason seems to work fine now, so I used my old one for awhile
  11. I have been using mine without even flashing, of course some options I don't use and cache ratio isn't there but everything else works fine, but I think they did add firmware on first page for oc panel 1
  12. ya it kinda freaked me out at first, I thought I did something wrong and got a low score. it looked so weird.
  13. wow really amazing, as someone said you could even use this for aquamark or 3d01. Maybe without hyper threading could help even more. That would be awesome.
  14. well then maybe just add it for single gpu only because if we are looking for cheaper 3d benching than 4 way wouldn't be cheap no matter what we do.
  15. I wish we could do something like just using graphics scores. I know it's not totally possible but with cpu benching it's sometimes nice to just worry about the cpu and it's much cheaper. Imagine if we could use something like a z97 platform with a decently priced cpu on water and compete in the gpu rankings with a nice gpu on cold. I know it's a dream and a lot of benches don't separate graphics score but it would be a ton of fun. Also it would only work with a pure gpu bench. I wonder if you could do that with a newer bench like firestrike ultra which doesn't have globals yet. It would be fun to try.
  16. I love the idea of adding world record points to 1, 2, 3, 4 way and also making it added to top 20. That's a great idea. I would definitely want to bench more 3d.
  17. ya I'm broke, might be better off just grabbing some more cheap afr and pushing on cold. I would only have enough for 4 sticks, and I'm guessing I would need 4 for proper efficiency on asus unless double sided equals 4 dimm efficiency. Still new to memory clocking, man it's a whole nother world. Have a lot to learn.
  18. This sounds like fun, not a far drive from NYC, could bring 4 tanks with me. I would be down to split a room with someone or people
  19. sorry to hijack thread but can anyone link me a b-die kit that you guys have been buying. Does 2 8gb sticks have the same efficiency as 4 4gb sticks on some of the crappy other boards, haha. Really wish I would have kept my ocf.
  20. nice one, can't wait to try one of these, they look fun, microcenter still only has 6300
