  1. Nice! Results seem okay too. 3DMark11 is a little low, though. Using the latest WHQL + v1.0.3 ?
  2. Haha, I laughed out loud!
  3. I mentioned the same to MSI, but they told me 7870 would be in retail by March 19. Good question, I'll check on monday. I think MSI will want the cards to be allowed.

  5. Oh you tease! Compete where? It's really simple: any ES will have to go to Pro League. That's the rule; it doesn't change if ES is slightly better than retail.
  6. You guys still around 1.15? ...
  7. What's up with the weird BIOS version, by the way?

  9. I've seen a couple here at the bot. Few though ... very few.
  10. Yeah. That's what we spoke about on CeBIT. Zotac has been releasing extreme cards on the chinese market for a while now, but those never make it to the US or EU. Example: GTX580 GTX560 Ti GTX260 Dual GTS250 Dual GTX460
  11. The decision is really simple: follow the rules. All ES will go to Pro League, only retail in the two others.

  14. So, what's the difference with the Kitguru contest? Both are qualifiers for the i45 event?
  15. Retail's also on sale in China, apparently. http://www.obr-hardware.com/2012/03/retail-core-i7-3770k-for-sale.html
  16. Hah, that print-screen screenshot looks like it's made by Coolaler
  17. No, no kidding here. You should be happy that there are actually people so concerned about the software that there is in fact discussion about it; and in-depth, not just 'i-dont-like-dont-do-it' based argumentation. Which is strange. According to Lucid, the scores should be affected.
  18. Yeah, the math is off. It's never funny when the math is off.
  19. Hi all, Sorry for the delay in the finalisation of the competition. So, the winners are: - Coldest (990FXA-UD7) - I.nfraR.ed (990FA-UD5) - I.M.O.G. (990FXA-UD3) Two notes: - The CPU-Z mainboard tab was missing in I.M.O.G's submissions. This was not explicitly stated as competition requirement, so it's a fault on our side. We can see in the system pictures that a Gigabyte mainboard was used. Therefore, his results will not be pulled. We also take note of this and make sure to explicitly state the mainboard tab requirement for future competitions - I.nfraR.ed sent me a private message to hold a lucky draw between places #4 to #12 to give away his UD5 board (as he mentioned earlier in this thread). A very nice gesture! I'm uploading the video of the random.org lucky draw which you can check to win. Cool! I'll inform Gigabyte about the competition. The winners will be contacted shortly! //edit: Congrats Froxic!
  20. I missed the point then. I re-read and still miss the point ...
  21. Ok, some good news. We can perfectly detect whether or not MVP was used for a Heaven benchmark run.
  22. Ehr, what? Following that logic, we should've never accepted on-die cache. Or a CPU with an integrated memory controller (no more NB!). Or a CPU with multiple cores. Or ...
