  1. I think my housemates would not appreciate REX-a-like behavior

The B1 engineering sample I have here does not only suffer from severe clock issues, it also lacks in the field of handling cold properly. 6GHz 3D is just a dream for me ... Since the release of the 980X I've been working with the Gigabyte X58A-UD7. Not a bad board, but it does have a couple of issues that makes it difficult to become best friends with. Last weekend I've quickly tried the Asus Rampage III Extreme, but serious cold issues prevented me from gaining any more clocks than with the UD7. More testing of the Asus board will follow for sure. So, yesterday night I tested the Xpower board from MSI (long overdue - sorry for that Leona!!). Just a quick SS phase session as I was busy beating 2100CL7 on Thuban that same night. Some rig pics. Since this was my first time booting the board, I quickly checked if the basic features are okay: - Clock frequency reached on single stage ~ UD7: check - Voltage levels according to bios setting: check - OC Dashboard working: check - "Failed boot"-reboot: check Or to make it short: the board is good to start overclocking with. No need to put it back in the box after the first test session . With little time left last night, I wanted to check some overclocking results, so 32M memory with the super-dooper way-too-expensive Corsair Dominator GTX2 memory. Result was an impressive (almost) 2400CL8 32M stable with only 1.72V on the memory and approx 1.42V VTT. Tomorrow I'm changing to liquid nitrogen on the mainboard and, hopefully, R5870 Lightning. So more results then. Oh, if someone has a request for picture/test/anything, let me know!
  3. Yes ... "fine" ...
  4. Targets are: And yes ... This time I WILL participate!
  5. Thuban won't break any world record
  6. Naah ... WR is out of Thuban's league. Let's just make sure getting DDR3-2000 isn't as difficult as it is now
  7. Received the board yesterday evening.
  8. Because HyperPI isn't SuperPI ...
  9. Btw, I've added your mainboard to the database
  10. Why aren't you running the Cat9.4's?
  11. I don't see a problem here.
  12. What is again like that? Please post links to scores when you have questions

  15. One GFX = ONE result. How much more clear can the hardware sharing rules be?
  16. As the thread title states, please do not use the member discussion feature to ask result moderators to delete, restore, change any score. This feature is to talk about the member's overclocking achievements. Thanks
  17. As you know from the article I've posted on the front page, I've been testing the 1090T in combination with the Asus M4A89GTD Pro mainboard. At the moment, the result have to speak for themselves ... when I find the time, I'll re-test the board with a newer bios. Air Stable: CPU: 4289MHz MEM: 1900CL7 dual channel // 2000CL7 single channel memtest stable NB: 3000MHz 3D stable LN2 cooling CPU: 5900 3DM06 stable MEM: 1700CL7 stable (no 1800) NB: 3000MHz 3D stable
  18. Time to rant! Just post here to let us know when your Thuban setup pissed you off so badly you need a public forum to complain about it.
  19. This thread is for all the off-topic jibber-jabber on why you like Thuban
