  1. here comes the italian translation files
  2. There's no ES restriction in the extreme competition.
  3. Whoah .... looks like someone's preparing for MOA
  4. There's no problem with re-using the processor or motherboard after a treatment of liquid nitrogen.
  5. What do you mean exactly? Nitrogen is only used as a way to cool down the processor to extreme low temperatures. It's not coming in direct contact with the components.
  6. Just FYI, here at HWBOT the team moderators are responsible for what is happening in their team. Any team moderator can remove any member and any score from their team, hence if something is weird they have the ability to do something about it. Not doing anything is not correct.
  7. Just an example ... i think this is pretty clear?
  8. I'm reading through the moderating thread in the staff forums and I'm stunned by what I see. PC World is quite a large firm ... I can't believe this is going on.
  9. As far as I can see, GT2 is roughly 4FPS (=10%) to high for the given clock frequencies. Just compare your score to the others in the same category.
  10. Whoah! Excellent retail CPU! Any information on the batch # ?
  11. Only you can.
  12. Next time I'll just remove your account.
  13. Initial results As said before - quick test runs, so nothing spectacular.
  14. BIOS LOG Several bioses have been thrown online that support the Thuban. I won't list them all here, just the latest one that fixes the C&Q functionality: - Bios V1.12B2: link
  15. Working through the remaining boards here at the lab, this time I'm testing the MSI 790FX-GD70. Nothing special at the moment, just testing the basic compatibility to see if there are major flaws. SETUP: - AMD Thuban 1090T - MSI 790FX-GD70, bios variable - Twintech 9600GT - 2x 2GB OCZ Platinum DDR3-1600 CL8 - Antec TP 1KW
  16. How is 4x GTX480 more relevant than a CPU at 5GHz
  17. Okay - figured it out, I think. There was one score in the PCMark04 global ranking that had no CPU tagged to it (#13 - TrueMonkey's). Edited the score, turned up okay in the recalculation list, so points should come quickly now.
  18. It's not getting worse, it's the one score that keeps screwing up the recalculation engine. I noticed it this morning and instead of just removing the record, I'm trying to figure out what score is causing this. Hold on just a few more minutes.
  19. Leeghoofd doesn't have a 980X (yet), but Gamer has. As far as I can see, his retail should indeed be better than this B1 ES. The dashboard won't be revised of course, it's the still the same in the retail package. I might have send out the wrong message in my last post: the Dashboard works just fine for overclocking in windows. In fact, I don't use applications such as SetFSB anymore, which is quite a significant change in my overclocking behavior. The only thing it's not is look as fancy as EVBot and it's not as elabore as Asus' ROG panel. But who says that's necessary It's too soon to be talking about technology limitations, at least for me. At the moment, I have only properly tested this 980X on UD7 and Xpower; the R3E was just a very, very quick session. I heard there's a new bios out that improves the overclocking, so I'll need to retest that board before jumping to conclusions. Haven't tested the 760 or 762.
  20. The Vcore issue is totally CPU related as I had the exact same behavior with the UD7. It almost looks like the CPU isn't getting enough cold to deal with the high voltage properly. I mentioned the CPU was bad, no? The Xpower comes with a dashboard indeed. It's the same as the one that came with the Trinergy, but with an updated firmware. So, if you want you old one to work, you need to get the new firmware. For anyone who needs it to test the board, let me know and I'll drop it all here. The Dashboard is working good enough if you are familiar with it. Now quite as elaborate as the OC app that Asus is giving to selected overclockers with the R3E, neither as flashy as the EVBot, but just a simple functional tool . I'm trying to get MSI to add a couple more features for the Dashboard that should make it even better. Fingers crossed.
