  1. Okay, now I have motivation to bench it)
  2. Most probably this setting has sense only for IRIS graphics.
  3. BTW, the problem with SS was compressor overheating imho. I had quite similar situation with mine last summer (ambients of 32-35C) after 2-3 hours benching multithreaded tests with 4790k@>5.0ghz. It took almost 5 hours for unit to cool down and start working. Those were the hottest days of summer and this doesn't happen again to me till now.
  4. Will athlons be allowed in MMX smackdown even though they allow enabling SSE?
  5. Calculate 1M using just paper and pencil (or even sand and stick)!
  6. 1. LCC for s939 @3.0GHz - spi1m 2. Wprime 32m s370 - I need to master this
  7. I also don't like results are being blocked even if they are fully in line with classic verification guidelines. Does anyone think Alex actually didn't achieve these results?
  8. why courier? Use cargo service. You should have 150-200 dollars bill @max imho.
  9. make screenshot with asrock timing configurator to show us timings and rtls. Also try running at lower voltage and frequency (say 4.8ghz) to see if the reason is throttling.
  10. refit cpu into the socket - I had an issue before with multigpu setups (3*5850, 2*4870x2, 2*6950) and only removing/fitting cpu back helped me.
  11. What was this chip able to do with air and SS (if you've tried it)? Nice result btw!
  12. Did anyone try installing Catzilla on ramdisk? does it improve loading time?
  13. me too sometimes feel not really happy with only single ss - i need to make choice what to put under ss and what will be air/water cooled. Chiller is more flexible but more expensive and requires much more service. And it must be really powerful. So, if i had enough money i would choose: 1. 2 ss - one for cpu, second for gpu 2. several waterblocks/pumps and powerful chiller 3. one ss 4. week chiller
  14. So far I'm not able to fix bad 3D performance in XP (actually I have tried both XP32 SP3 x86, 2003 x64) - the difference between XP and Win7 is noticable even with old 7600GT where Win7 is faster in each and every benchmak, also the same applies to GTX980. I should be able to check 6950x2 in next few days in XP and compare the results with Win7 but so far i think that bad performance is caused by missing "good" drivers in XP for PCIE bridges and missing drivers for interrupts controller (problem with bus priorities etc). Although performance with 2D in XP is good here so that is something wrong with chipset drivers and XP+HaswellE needs workaround imho.
