Massman Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Alright, we've gone beta! - http://oc-esports.io/#/ - Introducing OC-ESPORTS.io Beta - The Next Generation Platform for Competitive Overclocking Let us know what bugs you find and/or new feature suggestions! Quote
George_o/c Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 (edited) The links for divisions 4 and 5 in the article are incorrect: http://oc-esports.io/#/round/roadtopro_challenger_season0_division4_round1%22 http://oc-esports.io/#/round/roadtopro_challenger_season0_division5_round11 Minor mistake, but I'm just pointing it out! Exciting stuff guys, I'm so happy with the upcoming changes. The overclocking scene has been in need of something refreshing for quite some time now. Pieter I have some questions: 1) Won't there be any divisions with air/h2o cooling? As far as I understand, none of the divisions has cooling limitations, correct? 2) Will the division champion of each season win a prize? Doesn't have to be something expensive, I just think it would bring some extra motivation. 3) What are the limitations for division 6? Again congrats on everyone who chimmed in, looks awesome so far! ObscureParadox Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 (edited) I can't read more from the first page http://oc-esports.io/#/article/2545/hwbot_esports_launched Also I assume once you've logged in you can click on your username to bring up some extra options? for me it just logs me straight back out. Interesting hardware limitations for these though http://oc-esports.io/#/round/roadtopro_challenger_season0_division3_round1/1732/superpi_32m http://oc-esports.io/#/round/roadtopro_challenger_season0_division3_round1/1733/maxxmem_read_bandwidth http://oc-esports.io/#/round/roadtopro_challenger_season0_division3_round1/1734/xtu http://oc-esports.io/#/round/roadtopro_challenger_season0_division3_round1/1735/cinebench_r15 Edit : In terms of the Bulldozer/Piledriver league, wouldn't it be better to have a lower end card like a 270X/GTX 760 not so much a 290X or 780Ti Edited October 1, 2014 by ObscureParadox Quote
TASOS Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 (edited) I dont have the option to participate in any of the divisions and stages. Can somebody have a look. Am i doing something wrong ? I dont know. It has an exclamation in every stage comp. "A verification screenshot is required. " In the meanwhile , somebody please move my submissions to : Challenger 2014 Div II Round 1 - XTU 5GHz. http://hwbot.org/submission/2645657_tasos_xtu_core_i5_4670k_1086_marks and Challenger 2014 Div II Round 1 - Cinebench R15 http://hwbot.org/submission/2645667_tasos_cinebench_r15_core_i5_4670k_732_cb Thank you. saint19 Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Limitations aren't validated when you submit an score. Example: Take a look of Div III, description says that CPU is limited to APU and G3258 but you can see scores with 477K, 1090T, 5930k among others. http://oc-esports.io/#/round/roadtopro_challenger_season0_division3_round1/1732/superpi_32m Quote
TASOS Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 In the meanwhile , somebody please move my submission to : Challenger 2014 Div II Round 1 - XTU 5GHz. http://hwbot.org/submission/2645657_tasos_xtu_core_i5_4670k_1086_marks I still have problem with XTU submissions. It doesnt accept any score for the challenger series. Does anybody have some time to take a look at this ? Quote

I've fixed it. I still have problem with XTU submissions. It doesnt accept any score for the challenger series. Does anybody have some time to take a look at this ? It's because you don't have a verification screenshot in your submission. Please try submitting using this link and attach a verification screenshot: http://hwbot.org/submit/competition_stage/1726?esports=true Quote

Please try submitting using this link and attach a verification screenshot: http://hwbot.org/submit/competition_stage/1726?esports=true But i have verification screenshot , that's odd ??? Massman Posted October 13, 2014 Author Posted October 13, 2014 No, you have a system picture attached to the score. That's different from a validation screenshot (it's a different field). Quote
TASOS Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 No, you have a system picture attached to the score. That's different from a validation screenshot (it's a different field). Sorry , but We are talking about XTU here. There is no obligation for validation screenshot in this bench. You just upload the data file and a system picture. http://hwbot.org/submission/2645657_tasos_xtu_core_i5_4670k_1086_marks ??? The link you quoted me is for FS extreme. Quote
Massman Posted October 13, 2014 Author Posted October 13, 2014 Yeah, it's not necessary for the HWBOT.org database, but it is required for the competition. It's just an additional requirement to participate in the competition. Quote
TASOS Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 (edited) Yeah, it's not necessary for the HWBOT.org database, but it is required for the competition. It's just an additional requirement to participate in the competition. Have a look again ... you are driving me crazy There is no such tab. No TAB for uploading a verification picture. New submission , two pics included (bench screenshot and system pic) ... Nothing changed !!! http://hwbot.org/submission/2649460_ When i press edit at the right side of the page (inside the yellow marked area) i get an http error. When i try to edit from the top of the page (under options) i get into editing , but there is no image verification field. Look at my pictures. Edited October 13, 2014 by TASOS Quote
TASOS Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Now the other way arround ... I go to submit from the oc-esport link http://oc-esports.io/#/round/roadtopro_challenger_season0_division2_round1/1729/xtu_5ghz At the buttom of the page there is a submit button. When pressed you get an instant error message You say "what the heck" ignore it. At least , there is an image verification field ... and system pic too (yupi ya ya) You start filling all the fields , with your system specs ... Hey , wait ... there is NO field to upload the XTU data file !!! You say "what the heck" ignore that too. Let's press the submit button at the buttom of the page. Guess what ? It takes you back to HWBOT XTU submission page ... to upload the data file. And all the fields you filled earlier with system specs , are gone. You start all over again. Quote
TASOS Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Aaaannnnnyyyy way. At least now , going throught that route , you have all the fields required for a proper submission. http://hwbot.org/submission/2649473_ BUT ... FatBoyNotSoSlim Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Emails. I'm not sure if this is a Rev6 thing, or HWbot in general. I just got a new email today that theres a ROG competion happening. Awesome. Check the website, it started 5 days ago. WTF. Could we maybe have an email when an event is created, or started, not a week after the fact? This isn't limited to this one event, all emails from oc/hwbot are days/week after the fact for notification of new competitions. Quote
I.nfraR.ed Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 (edited) eSports site generally performs bad. A lot of times when I open a subpage/stage, loading json stage data takes about 2+ seconds and during that time the site is not responsive at all. There are also some JS errors about MagnificPopup. It also often does not remember my credentials, although I always select the checkbox. Haven't checked the cookie expiry period, maybe something is wrong with the cookie, since it works for me on every other site (incl. Hwbot), but not eSports. Mr.Scott Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 No longer a mobile option to log in through HWB. Only Twitter, Facebook, or Google+. I don't do any of those. Quote
ObscureParadox Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 No longer a mobile option to log in through HWB. Only Twitter, Facebook, or Google+. I don't do any of those. I still have the HWBot username underneath all those here? Quote
Mr.Scott Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 (edited) Sorry, I should have been more specific. There is no option to log in via HWB when trying to submit HWBot Prime from a mobile device. Bottom line is, I can't log in to submit. Edited February 7, 2015 by Mr.Scott Quote
JunkDogg Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 If you go to chalkenger division from HWBOT you get there. Then go to another. Click pro oc at top, then pick challenger drop down and select division. Division comes up with red spot to click for more information, then grt 404 error for division information. You have to go back to hwbot to pick the challenger you want to look at. Hope that makes sense. Quote
Massman Posted February 10, 2015 Author Posted February 10, 2015 Emails. The emails are sent manually. Problem is that in a lot of cases competitions are organized pretty much a couple of days before they actually launch. We always ask for a 3-week up front notification, but in general the final "green-light" for a competition is given a couple of days before the start (with the PR available less than 24h before the start). We try to inform people as fast as possible, actually. eSports site generally performs bad.A lot of times when I open a subpage/stage, loading json stage data takes about 2+ seconds and during that time the site is not responsive at all. Haven't checked the cookie expiry period, maybe something is wrong with the cookie, since it works for me on every other site (incl. Hwbot), but not eSports. Do you still have these issues? V1.2.1 should be a lot faster in general, and also the cookie issue has been resolved. Sorry, I should have been more specific. There is no option to log in via HWB when trying to submit HWBot Prime from a mobile device.Bottom line is, I can't log in to submit. Hm, HWBOT Prime works okay here? If you go to chalkenger division from HWBOT you get there. Then go to another. Click pro oc at top, then pick challenger drop down and select division. Division comes up with red spot to click for more information, then grt 404 error for division information. You have to go back to hwbot to pick the challenger you want to look at. Hope that makes sense. I tried the following path: HWBOT -> Link to Challenger Div I -> Click Road To Pro -> Click on Division III shield -> brings me to Challenger Div III roadmap. No 404. That being said, or written, we did fix a small bug for the challenger divisions yesterday, so maybe that was the issue. Quote
ObscureParadox Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 small bug on the site where there is no No. 1 overclocker, starts at No. 2 http://oc-esports.io/#!/rankings Quote
FatBoyNotSoSlim Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Request: Batch upload facility, like that used in comps, for when the hardware and photos are static, it's just the score + screenshot changing, case in point, the latest Gigabyte competition; Quote

Oh look, new MOA is happening at Computex, just got my email, check ocesports.io... announced like two days ago. To fix this, can I suggest we move away from emails, and look at some other methods? RSS Feed, Pushbullet notifications, etc.? Actually, RSS feed on all the comps would be ace, I can feed that into ifttt.com and make my own notifications. Quote
